Invoking a modern variant to the classic Fusion strategy.

Strategic Summary:
Welcome back to today’s CDP, and let me start by diving straight into the Invoked archetype. This theme centers around Aleister the Invoker and Invocation, a Fusion Spell that can banish material from either GY if Fusion Summoning an Invoked monster. This engine is probably most known for its Field Spell that starts the cycle, Magical Meltdown, as Meltdown provides much-needed protection for your Fusion Summons, preventing the negation of your card or effect that Fusion Summons as well as preventing a response from the opponent when something is Fusion Summoned. It also tutors your Aleister on activation, ensuring consistent access to your key starter. The most noteworthy Invoked Fusion is Invoked Mechaba, one that takes Aleister and a LIGHT monster and that negates and banishes an activated S/T Card or monster effect. Historically, the Invoked theme has paired well with the Dogmatika and Shaddoll archetypes to create a Fusion control strategy, but I wanted to change it up a bit by subbing in the Sinful Spoils Fusion theme, the Azamina.
The Azamina archetype also Fusion Summons monsters, but unlike the Invoked, it breaks from tradition by substituting Sinful Spoils Spells/Traps as material. This lets you bring out great bosses like Azamina Moa Regina or Azamina Ilia Silvia, adding even more disruption to a Fusion-based endboard. They’re also extremely consistent, as between Sinful Spoils Deception and Diabellstar the Black Witch, you should always have access to The Hallowed Azamina when you want it. Once you have these Fusions on your board, the gates are open to Special Summon Dogmatika Ecclesia, the Virtuous, unlocking the Dogmatika monsters as another disruption element. Or, should you prefer, you can go into a Dogmatika Maximus play to send both Fiendsmith’s Rex Tremendae (YGOrg Translation) and Fiendsmith’s Desirae to the GY. Beyond just this one interaction, I’ve also included a full Fiendsmith engine to make the most of the material left on field, giving you even more Fusion control elements once you factor in Desirae’s on-field effect to negate your opponents’ cards! Witness the power of the Fusion mechanic, with the help of all of the themes included in today’s build.
