Heraldry and Xyz Materials, defining a gold standard!

Strategic Summary:
Welcome back to today’s CDP, and this time I’m covering the new wave of Heraldic Beast support that made its debut in Alliance Insight. The Heraldic Beast archetype consists of Level 4 monsters that aim to Xyz Summon, and over time, they’ve had a few overlapping restrictions that mainly constrain them into summoning Machine and Psychic Xyz Monsters. Their claim-to-fame, so to speak, is Number 18: Heraldry Patriarch, a R4NK Psychic that sends 2 Heraldic Beast monsters from the Deck to GY when it is sent to the GY. Of course this works with Ext Ryzeal, but I prefer to summon it right off the bat to get combos started. You see, when you send Heraldic Beast Leo to the GY, it tutors another Heraldic Beast monster, and that gets everything going. In ALIN, this deck got two much-needed Main Deck monsters with powerful effects, so let’s start there with the new support. First up is Heraldic Beast Stad Whale (YGOrg Translation), which discards a card on summon to tutor 2 Heraldry S/Ts from the deck. It also has a GY effect to Special Summon 2 Heraldic Beasts with the same name from the GY, comboing quite nicely with the mass-milling from Patriarch.
The other new Main Deck option is Heraldic Beast Gryphon (YGOrg Translation), which can send another Heraldic Beast from the Deck to the GY to Special Summon itself from the hand. Additionally, it can be treated as 2 Materials when you’re Xyz Summoning Number 69: Heraldry Crest! Moving right along, the other new part of this deck is the Extra Deck bosses in the form of both Number 69: Heraldry Crest – Shatter Stream (YGOrg Translation), and Number 69: Heraldry Crest – Dark Matter Demolition (YGOrg Translation). These R4NK monsters build upon each other, ultimately getting to a place where monsters with the name “Unknown” have their activated effects negated. While Demolition has a Quick Effect to turn one of your opponent’s monsters into “Unknown”, you can also leverage Heraldry Flash (YGOrg Translation) to turn all of your opponent’s monsters to “Unknown”! Beyond this boss combo, the rest of the deck just aims to make the most of Xyz Monsters. Whether it is Xyz Armor Fortress (a Machine Xyz) adding Armored Xyz to hand to trigger your Patriarch extra times or simply leveraging your stacked Xyz Monsters to resolve Xyz Force and Xyz Poseidon Splash, this deck can be quite fun to take advantage of! Embrace change, with the Heraldic Beasts.
