Creative Deck Profile: Branded Predaplantation, ft. DIFO Support

Strategic Summary:

Welcome back to another profile, this time featuring the Predaplant archetype! This archetype exists to take Fusion Summoning to the next Level, making endless waves of vines to constrict your opponent’s plays. As an example of this, Monsters such as Predaplant Dragostapelia negate the effects of your opponent’s monsters with Predator Counters, and can even spread them itself! But Predator Counters don’t just have interactions with Fusion monsters, they also reduce the level of the monster to 1, interrupting Synchro and Xyz goals or plays. Or, combine them with Predaplant Chlamydosundew to use your opponent’s monsters with Predator Counters as DARK Fusion material! Another notable Fusion that interacts with these counters is Predaplant Triphyovertum, which gains the ATK of all other monsters on the field with Predator Counters. But the most important of all is the new Predaplant Ambulomelioides (YGOrg Translation), which can tribute your Predaplant or a monster with a Predator Counter to summon a Predaplant directly from your deck! Ambulomelioides is also a Level 5 Fusion, which means it can be cheated out of your Extra Deck with Instant Fusion, but either way, it adds a ‘Predap’ card from Deck or GY to the hand when Fusion Summoned!

This theme extends beyond just counters though – it’s search power is seriously immense. Predaplant Orthys Scorpio can begin your plays by tutoring any other Predaplant monster from the deck to your field at the cost of a discarded monster, Predaplant Sarraceniant tutors a Predap card when it is sent from the field to the GY by battle or card effect, and the new Predaplant Byblisp (YGOrg Translation) tutors a Predaplant monster however it is sent to the GY. The theme also added a functional Pendulum component with two scales now with the new supporting Predaplant Pendulums: Predaplant Triantis (YGOrg Translation) and Predaplant Bufollicula (YGOrg Translation), both of which support your Fusion Summoning goals. Finally, my build incorporates a small Branded engine, as Branded Fusion (YGOrg Translation) is a great way to get all of your Fusion Summoning goals started from the getgo! Don’t wait to be snatched up by the Predators waiting in the garden – nurture them yourself with this starving greenery that bites with venom!
