The Forge of the Nordic gods has been relit!

Strategic Summary:
Today’s profile focuses on the Nordic and Aesir archetype, paired archetypes designed to Synchro Summon big monsters. Odin, Father of the Aesir boasts 4000 ATK, and is Synchro Summoned using a Nordic Ascendant tuner. Thor, Lord of the Aesir can negate monster effects and is Synchro Summoned using a Nordic Beast tuner. Lastly, Loki, Lord of the Aesir defends against S/T activations during the battle phase, and is Synchro Summoned using a Nordic Alfar tuner. Together, the three sub-archetypes of the Nordic monsters offer various effects to accelerate Synchro Summons, but there are also two Nordic tuners that can ignore any tuner requirements! Vanadis of the Nordic Ascendant is the first, a Level 4 that can modulate its level by sending Nordic monsters from the deck to the GY, and Gullinbursti of the Nordic Beasts (YGOrg Translation), a new Level 3 tuner that summons another Nordic from hand when summoned and recovers a Nordic monster from your GY. But Gullinbursti is just the beginning of the new legacy support.
Previously, the Nordic Relic cards have been quite useless. So seeing the new Ivaldi of the Nordic Smiths (YGOrg Translation) may have been initially disappointing – until you saw their two new powerful Relics. Nordic Relic Hlidskjalf (YGOrg Translation) is a Spell that tutors a Nordic directly from your deck to the field, plus it tutors a Nordic to hand by banishing itself from your GY. Next, Nordic Relic Svalinn (YGOrg Translation) can negate the effects of all face-up cards your opponent controls while you control an Aesir monster. Combined, this makes the Aesir monsters a potent threat to any opponent, especially when you factor in the ability to cheat out your bosses with Gullveig of the Nordic Ascendant and Alviss of the Nordic Alfar.
Lastly, to wrap up my build today I decided to run a full Crossout Designator engine, celebrating its recent release to the TCG. This engine doesn’t make the cut in my next video, a new form of content debuting as my post for Monday. This new video will discuss a variety of engines, their benefits and applications, and the deckbuilding costs of each to keep in mind. In today’s build, you’ll notice a ton of banishing targets for Crossout that can prevent your opponent’s disruption from ruining your plays, especially since Gullveig’s effect requires such a heavy investment. Perfect for a deck that summons the Gods themselves! Let the Nordic lights shine bright, with the Aesir!
