What lies beyond Horizon’s Edge?
“Triumphant Return of the Monarchs” will release on September 20th, 2025. It is a Structure Deck for “Yu-GI-Oh! RUSH DUEL” based on the “Monarch” theme centered around the extremely popular “Caius the Shadow Monarch” from the “Official Card Game”.
Not only will this Deck include brand new “RUSH DUEL” Original “Monarch” monsters, but existing “Monarch” related cards and highly popular generic cards will be reprinted as well.
Also, one of seven of the new Cards included in this product will be included at random in a higher rarity foil! There is one card that comes in Over-Rush Rare!

Curious what will be reprinted in here since most Monarchs are Legends and Caius 100% will be the Legend monster slot.
7 new cards is a little disappointing but there should be additional cards in future products if the CD/HL SDs are any indication.
Technically, the first to receive a Structure and receive consistent support was Rush’s HERO: the Structure came out two years ago, and this Deck continues to receive support despite everything.
However, I doubt Rush’s Monarch will have the same fate as it’s not as popular as Harpie/Cyber Dragon/Dark Magician.
As for reprints, I feel they’ll reprint monsters with the same Stats as Monarch’s Monsters (there are several of those in Rush Duels and they’re generic)
Hope we get new EARTH, FIRE, WATER, and WIND Monarchs for Rush with this, to accompany Estrome and Wilhel.
My guesses:
EARTH – Plant-Type, Tree Monarch
WIND – Machine-Type, Sound Monarch
FIRE – Psychic-Type, Speed Monarch
WATER – Sea Serpent-Type, Ocean Monarch
How good will Caius be? Is it good enough to be played over Jinzo or Vanity’s Fiend as your 1-of Legend Monster? Zaborg hasn’t seen play in a while, and Raiza is doodoo in Rush due to how draw for turn works.
We don’t know. Here’s the funny bit: banishment does not exist in Rush Duels, so probably it will just be putting the monster on the bottom of the deck, with an obligatory burn if it will be a DARK monster.
With an effect like that, I guess it will be fine? It will not block the opponent’s next draw like Raiza, but the monster will be basically gone forever, and a potential 1000 burn is cute.
so…after 5 years we will have banishment on rush duel…i’m terrified and curious
Nah they Will probably Just change it to place on the bottom of the deck instead. It’s not the first card with banishment effect they adapt do Rush
