Strategic Summary:
Welcome back for another Creative Deck Profile, this time going full Generation Force and focusing on Xyz monsters! As the focus for this profile, the Armored Xyz (YGOrg Translation) or Full Armor series of monsters revolve around equipping one Xyz Monster to another for additional beneficial effects. For example, Xyz Armor Torpedo (YGOrg Translation) is the Rank 3 monster in the theme, as when it is equipped to a monster, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects when the equipped monster battles. This theme also carries a ton of alternate Xyz Summon opportunities, such as Full Armored Black Ray Lancer, which can be Xyz Summoned using a Rank 3 WATER Xyz with no material. Next up is Xyz Armor Fortress (YGOrg Translation), a Rank 5 that can be Xyz Summoned using a Rank 3 or 4 Xyz monster. It can detach two materials to tutor the same number of ‘Armored Xyz’ cards with different names, and when it is equipped to a monster, that monster deals double battle damage when battling monsters. After 5 comes 6, so Full Armored Crystalzero Lancer is Xyz Summoned next, using a Rank 5 WATER monster. Then finally, this theme is led by the Rank 7 boss, Full Armored DARK Lancer (YGOrg Translation), which is summoned using a Rank 5 or 6 Xyz Monster. This last boss can recover an Xyz card from your GY each turn, and it can attach an opponent’s monster as material when an Equip Card is equipped to a monster you control (such as any of your Armored Xyz equips).
With this Xyz ladder in mind, the goal of today’s build is to make that ladder as efficiently and consistently as possible. What better way to do that than the WATER Shark support we’ve received over the years? Whether it is Buzzsaw Shark summoning another Level 4 Fish from your deck, Lantern Shark summoning a WATER monster from hand, or Silent Sea Nettle, Minairuka, Silent Angler, or Xyz Silodolphin each Special Summoning themselves from the hand, you should have plenty of avenues to make your Xyz monsters. Once you have your Level 4s, you can make options such as Bahamut Shark, Abyss Dweller, or even Number 4: Stealth Kragen. As a last resort, if your effects get disrupted, you can also turn to Rare Fish in the Extra Deck, via the help of Ready Fusion and Instant Fusion. With all of these Sharks flying about, you can definitely turn the tide of a duel with just a few select Xyz Monsters that surge into much, much more.
