forgot maxx c again
It’s not being forgotten. They want it.
Maxx c is not the problem it’s decks like branded despia and tearla running it is the problem. Not to mention most of the card that’s used against maxx c are deck staple hand traps. Called by the grave, ash blossom, droll and lock, Effect Veiler, d.d crow.
@Tempest run
???
How is Maxx “C” not the problem? I have to dedicate 9-12 deckslots in every single deck to this card. There are almost no decks in the entire lifespan of Yu-Gi-Oh that don’t special summon. The only one in the last years would be Floo. The only way this card would ever be balanced would be by locking you out of special summoning for the entire duel so only decks like floo and monarchs could use it, but no other deck could.
Also, Veiler and Crow don’t stop Maxx “C” (lol) so I don’t know if typing all this even makes any sense in the first place.
@Tempest
Maxx “C” îs a problem for the reason you listed. If there was some sort of restriction that you couldn’t play it when you were already winning it would be great, but it is a win more card in the best decks, as well as a competitive tool for weaker decks. Imagine if when you loaded in the Master Duel tier list was checked, and if your deck was a higher tier than the deck you’re playing, Maxx “C” was negated for you. That would be “fair”.
The other option is to print MORE archetypes like Floo. Give more decks the power to just blatantly ignore the rules to play around Maxx “C” for no reason other than the fact that this insect exists.
Remember that cards are made for the TCG/OCG, then end up in MD second, so decks aren’t designed based on how well they play around Maxx C inherently. Decks printed that do aren’t due to MD, rather its due to the existence of the card in the OCG. Master Duel isn’t considered in the design process, and Maxx “C” is a game-warping card that the OCG and Master Duel have, so to ask for Konami to design every future deck around it is a bit absurd, considering they’ve clearly chosen to keep it around. They’ll add more ways of dealing with it, but the reality is that they want people to play it, and if you don’t like it, just leave. Why complain about a game but still play it?
