Strategic Summary:
Lord Diabolos has planned your demise for a while now. Hailing from the Lair of Darkness, this fiendish deck relies on the ability to tribute your opponent’s monsters to activate your effects, controlling the duel through disruption and a deluge of Trap cards. From a viral standpoint, Deck Devastation Virus and Eradicator Epidemic Virus take center stage, thinning your opponent’s hand, field, and draws, straining their response to your endless torment. Our prime torturer is Lilith, Lady of Lament; tributing a DARK monster to randomly tutor 1 of 3 traps from your deck. But if you want to try something different, perhaps look to Malice, Lady of Lament, who tributes 2 monsters to recover a banished Trap or one from your GY instead. Today’s profile also features one of the random support monsters from the upcoming Lightning Vortex set, Dark-Eye Nightmare (YGOrg Translation), that offers your deck additional draw power in exchange for banishing spent Trap cards from your GY. The darkness awaits – will you be lured to stay in its depths forever?
