A little mini-project from Dan and I, to look at the lists on the 5th anniversary.
This September, within 24 hours of one another, both the Official Card Game (the Asian version of Yu-Gi-Oh!) and the Trading Card Game (the International Version of Yu-Gi-Oh!), both dropped their “Forbidden & Limited List” changes (Japan calls theirs “Limit Regulations”).
As a result, since the lists both released at nearly the same time, we’ve decided to look to see where the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG and OCG lists match one another, and where they differ, after 5 years of having gone their own separate ways.
What may be in common may surprise you, and those unaware might be shocked to see what Japan and Asia allows but the TCG forbids.
