Strategic Summary:

Today’s CDP features the return of the new Charmer support to my channel, this time taking them in a more competitive direction than pairing the theme with the Elementsabers like my last profile: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zLCF9QGxNE4 . That said, since I’m sure that you’ve all seen the Dracotail/Branded decks running rampant over the metagame, let’s talk about what this hybrid build can do. First up, the Charmer side of the deck has an extremely powerful threat in Spellbook of the Grand Circle. If both effects of this Spell resolve, making Charmers of the Grand Circle, you are most likely going to win the duel from the massive swing in advantage it will generate for you. But even if you don’t resolve both effects, this deck can also rely upon Possessed Resonance (YGOrg Translation) to summon a Charmer with the same Attribute as any monster on the field, then if it is your opponent’s, you can even use Resonance’s GY effect to steal it for yourself!

On the other side of the deck, the Dracotail engine does what the Dracotail engine does well – it has great access to a variety of strong Fusion monsters. Of course you have all the in-theme options, but you can also turn to Filia Regis, to banish a face-up card the opponent controls, Secreterion Dragon, to recover a fallen Dragon or Spellcaster monster, or my favorite, the new Possessed Resonance – Wynn (YGOrg Translation). Wynn is a new Level 5 Fusion made with any Spellcaster and WIND, and not only does it steal any monster your opponent controls on Fusion Summon, but it also can target any card the opponent controls and a WIND you control to place them on the bottom of the deck. This one-two punch is especially great if you happen to Fusion Summon it during the opponent’s first turn with Dracotail Faimena, giving you two disruptions instead of just the one offered by Dracotail Arthalion or Dracotail Gulamel. All the Attributes are in your favor, when you fuse both the Dracotail and Charmer into one strategy!
