Strategic Summary:

Today’s CDP features the return of two Synchro-based archetypes to my channel that have recent received modern support waves. The first is the Adamancipator theme, an archetype of Rock monsters of various attributes whose Tuners intend to excavate another Rock monsters from the top of the deck to summon to the field. Their new support carries on this tradition, with Adamancipator Conductor (YGOrg Translation) doing just that as their new Level 6 Tuner. The other new support card that opens doors for the theme is Adamancipator Crystal – Tiamite (YGOrg Translation), a new Level 4 DARK Rock non-Tuner that tutors any Adamancipator card whenever it is summoned via Adamancipator card, then it also Special Summons any Rock monster from the hand. In tandem with Adamancipator Crystal – Dragite, this gives you two great non-Tuner targets… which may normally not be enough for a traditional Adamancipator deck, but today, I’m leaving very little to chance.

You see, for years the Adamancipator theme has also had ways to set their own top deck, but it has largely been neglected until this new support makes that worth it! First up is Adamancipator Signs, a Monster Reborn for the theme that also sets the top card of your deck if you choose to summon an Adamancipator monster. Then secondly is their new Adamancipator Mates (YGOrg Translation), a Normal Spell that not only tutors any Adamancipator, but also returns itself from GY to hand by setting a card from your hand on top of the deck. These two are also now even more searchable through the power of Adamancipator Risen – Tiamite (YGOrg Translation), a Level 10 DARK Synchro that also gets to spin up to 5 cards from the opponent’s field to their hand, based on the number of Rock monsters you excavate when they activate a monster effect on the field. Now all of these Rocks are great, but where they start to turn into something more is when you leverage those Tuners and Non-Tuners to access the Dragunity engine, such as via Dragunity Lord – Georgius!

This LINK-4 is made with any 2 monsters, as long as one is a Tuner, and when Link Summoned, it gives you a free Level 5 or higher Dragunity from either your Extra Deck or GY. Of course this gives you a monster negate in Dragunity Knight – Areadbhair, but if you combine it with Dragunity Knight – Luin, you’ll also magically lock down your opponents’ monster effects in the GY while Luin is equipped to Georgius. The S/T negate just becomes a feather in the cap as well. And if you have all the right Adamancipator tools to execute their combos without your Normal Summon, Dragunity Quirinus is just waiting in the wings to swoop into the fray, and unlock a new chain of Synchro Summoning on its own! If you’re wondering how these two bridge together, any 2 Dragunity monsters will give you that first Adamancipator Synchro, and if you’re going the opposite direction, Crystron Halqifibrax Prism (YGOrg Translation) makes summoning Georgius a literal breeze! Take on the skies and caves, with the combined power of the new Dragunity and Adamancipator cards!
