CDP: D.D. Macro, with Ghoti, Ryu-Ge, Vendread, True Draco, and more!

Revising an old concept as TCG-Legal!

    Replays:

    Strategic Summary:

Today’s CDP takes us in a slightly absurd hybrid direction, as I set out with one goal in mind: make one of my prior builds TCG-Legal! If you missed my original Macro Cosmos profile, be sure to check it out here: https://youtu.be/Dq2RMqqOS4A . Now that you’re back, the goal of the deck is simple – banish as much as possible, then capitalize on what you banish. How? One word – Necroface. Banish it with Gold Sarcophagus, and you profit. Get it to the GY with Gozuki or Curse of the Ancient Turtle, then banish it, and you profit. Bring it back from your banishment with Dark Necromancer to then re-banish it with Revendread Origin when Ritual Summoning… and yes, you profit. You get the gist. Well as this all happens, if you also have Soul Absorption on the field, you get 500 LP for each banished card, which stacks up quite quickly. Also, D.D. Post gives your monsters more ATK power, letting anyone on your board become a serious threat.

But what happens if you don’t get your primary engines and need to rely on bootleg banishing options? That’s where the other engines come in handy. First up is the True Draco, led by the new Draco Awakening and Mariamne Paradox, the True Dracophoenix Knight. You see, Mariamne banishes the top 4 cards of the deck on summon, and if you happen to also have True King Bahrastos, the Fathomer to destroy for her, you’ll get a free Genro Ryu-Ge Hakva out of the deal. Havka is important to the deck, as it provides access to Ryu-Ge Realm – Wyrm Winds, giving you another way to banish your opponents’ monsters during their turn, if you don’t draw Macro Cosmos of course. Even if you do, Ryu-Ge End ensures those banished Ryu-Ge monsters don’t go to waste, as it will shuffle them back to give you more control over the board.

For the last element to this deck, we have to talk about the other things you’ll want to banish. First up is the Ghoti monsters – Shif, Fairy of the Ghoti, Paces, Light of the Ghoti, Keaf, Murk of the Ghoti, and the honorary Aspischool all love to be banished, summoning themselves back to your board. You even have the threat of Ghoti of the Deep Beyond dropping into play during the opponent’s turn to ruin their entire day. There’s also the D.D. monsters as well – D.D. Scout Plane may not seem like much on its own, but a recurring material isn’t that much to scoff at. D.D. Patrol Plane also can be great, giving you even more fine control over banishing the cards in your GY. Altogether, this deck may seem like a banishing fever dream but trust me – it works a lot better than it seems.
