Ok, but it will have clause saying that it can only search for cards with “Umi” as their original name, so you’ll not be able to search for all the 1000 different replacements for it.

@FreeBagooska name conditions are treated as the original names. for that to be possible they’d have to go out of their way to introduce *printed* name as a gameplay term

I hope “Crimson Blader/Assault Mode” doesn’t mean that jack’s cover support in the next set is centered around “Crimson Blader”. I want “Majestic Red Nova Dragon”, and a “Resonator” monster that is always treated as “Majestic Dragon”.
What about we don’t give him even more dragon bosses like he hasn’t got enough already, and focus on his other stuff instead this time
Blazing Dominion almost guarantees to be Jack since Crimson Blader was chosen to be an Assault Mode.
I would not be shocked if it was focused on Jack’s final Deck versus Yusei.

@gee one of my favorite things to do is splash some Earthbound servants and such into a jack Atlas deck. Which is all the easier now with Earthbound Immortal Red Nova.
is always the last Main Deck monster in a set. And 033-034 should be a Fusion. (This could be lore related.) This may hint at the character who will get support. My guess is a GX Season 1 character who uses Fusions and maybe a Ritual like Bastion, Alexis, or Syrus, weighing them in that order.
This also suggests the new lore theme will be Synchro due to the slots 039-042.
This support confirms 004-006 will be tied to a DM or GX legacy character since anime legacy after the cover is listed in series order. Yusei and Jack are listed first so it won’t be 5D’s. For further confirmation, Priestess after the Fusions also confirms this character won’t use Synchros.
030 should be a Ritual since Wake Cup is always the last Main Deck monster in a set.
we had B.E.S. and Viper V3 in the Tournament Pack, so possibly these are the GX theme…who knows might hv Fusions for them now

to be fair…there is no WATER Synchro monster being used/summoned in 5Ds anime at all, except 1 the Dark Synchro one…
Assault Mode also supported early 5D’s Synchros even if they never appeared in the anime.

Yes. And this is part of why Junk Warrior got an /Assault Mode – double dip the synergy by not only soft-cheating out the /Assault Mode, but also returning it to the Extra to Synchro summon out so that it gets to trigger its on-synchro summon effect.
Junk Warrior/Assault Mode might be the weakest card here, but it exists to explicitly synergize for its own sake.

At worst it nets you an omni negate in under 4 summons + a Lv8 Synchro to do stuff with. Even without the full picture there’s a decent endboard with just Assault mode cards + Stardust dragon/Crimson Blader/Junk Warrior
Dark wing priestess seems like an updated version of Nightwing Sorceress.
I wonder if the TCG name will be closer to Nightwing priestess as a result.
Decent start and it works even better as a generic engine since any deck that can make a spare lv8 Synchro can go into this and get an Omni negate off of it (Night Wing > Sentinel > Lich > Stardust > Assault mode activate).
Hopefully we get some extenders or cards that enable synergy with something like Yusei or Jack’s decks

I always had a soft spot for Night Wing Sorceress/Black Wing Magician, she should’ve been treated as 2 tributes for the tribute summon of a spellcaster, I won’t elaborate. For deck build pack slop fiesta here me out on this one: an all elf girl archetype, you’ll thank me later.
Ah yes, when I think of Jack’s sub ace I think of something he only used once, I don’t don’t know if you even have to say sub because according to Blood Shepard any extra deck monster that isn’t combo filler is an ace. Halberd Cannon/Buster’s wording and # of effects was consistent with the old ones but these do their own thing which is why neo new Crimson Blader’s lockdown effect is not strictly better than the og. In the old days Lich would summon a low level zombie from the gy and have no other text.
