    CDP: Jurrac Fiendsmith

Rain Meteors without locking yourself to Dinosaurs!

    Replays:

    Strategic Summary:

Today’s CDP features another one of my IRL deckbuilds, where I am combining the new Jurrac support with the tried-and-true Fiendsmith engine. You might think I am crazy, but let me sell it to you. On the Dinosaur side of the deck, the goal of this build is to leverage Ground Xeno to tutor either Jurrac Megalo or Xeno Meteorus, destroy a Babycerasaurus in hand, and begin to combo with Souleating Oviraptor. Even if things don’t go to plan with this play, simply tutoring and destroying Megalo gets you a copy of Jurrac Astero to your GY, giving you a Jurrac Meteor nuke for the cost of one Spell Card. If things go well, this can quickly build you a board that includes one of either Evolzar Dolkka or Evolzar Laggia and an Astero on field, and that’s before we even bring out any Fiendsmith cards! Of course, any Dinosaur deck isn’t complete without the threat of dropping Ultimate Conductor Tyranno on the opponent, so we have that engine as well, but it is more of an alternate success plan than primary win condition.

Moving over to the Fiendsmith side of the deck, you also have a one-card combo starter in Fiendsmith’s Tract, due to the existence of Fabled Lurrie. Unlike the Jurrac side, this side of the deck has Fiendsmith Engraver to begin the engine, so you have consistent access to all of the plays you know and I’m sure love by now. There’s even a fun interaction with either Megalo or Miscellaneousaurus and Necroquip Princess, as both of them can discard a monster as cost and get you an extra draw, even if you don’t have the Engraver in hand to trigger her. The one thing that I love the most about this combination is that the use of Synchro, Xyz, and Link monsters permits the use of Coordius the Triphasic Dealmon, a Level 9 Fusion Monster that packs quite a few powerful effects into one card that’s easily made with a Fiendsmith’s Sequence! Embrace the absurd by combining Dinosaurs and Fiends into one combo-heavy deckbuild!
