A 3 for 3, guess pray you got Lichy to use?
I figure this is applicable as a deep draw device in monster heavy low Level Decks, at least those not running large packages of monsters above 6. So, Hungry Bunger and their >5 engine as an example. The Trap protection is almost required I’d posit because the card goes *very* neg if interrupted and needs the help to resolve. Opening the Ritual Spell and sending 2 Level 3s/4s, 1 Level 5 + 1 Level 2+, etc. is a good equalizing of advantage. All that remains is figuring out what to do of the Ritual body… like Hamburger Recipe can make good use of it.
I’d say Handy Lady and Executie could also use this Ritual Monster.
And the Ritual Spell Card’s additional Effect isn’t new: other Decks already have something similar (Animagica and Rush’s Harpie come to mind). Ironically, Negate as an Effect exists in Rush Duels, but it hasn’t been widely used/implemented on many cards (the same goes for Floodgates: the number of cards with those Effects has decreased over time)
Basically, Pot of Greed on a Monster, but it can only be used once due to the Monster’s Requirement and the Ritual Spell Card.
The card may have some uses in Ritual Summon-focused Decks.
PS: There are many unrevealed Ritual Monsters in this Pack (and only four Fusion Monsters: two being unknown)
Ivory functions best in Hungry, Zera and MoBC, whose Ritual Spells are generic, use low level materials that want to hit the GY, and have ample recursion. These Decks have minimal archetypal draw power and benefit from Ivory turboing to access their extenders.
Alternatively you can use her in Magnet Warriors, with equally good recursion of low level materials, can be recycled with Repulsive Force and Impactor Comet, and the Ritual lock nowhere as stigmatizing since they are predominantly a Fusion deck. Nearly any Deck can slot her in.
Due to the Ritual Spell Ivory is immune to on summon traps such as Shady and CED, which compensates for the 3-card investment in summoning her.
This definitely in magnet warriors, magnet warriors even before new proto have a solid package for supporting a lite ritual package. Her being ritual and rock definitely feels like she was built for magnet warrior despite being a generic. With new proto we can recycle her ritual spell for more chances to summon her.
Elephant..gems…CRYSTAL BEASTS?!?
Elephant Statues.
who decided the White Elephant’s Gift should be drawing 2 cards?
Sevens Road potential strategy?
Doesnt say once per turn.
Does he know? . meme
Read the rules for RD, please. I’m begging you!
The Ritual’s effect can only be used on the turn she is Ritual Summoned.
She can only be Ritual Summoned currently with her signature Ritual Spell, which requires you cannot Ritual Summoned that turn before you use it. Basically you can’t Ritual Summon her more than once per turn.
If Konami wills it we may get more generic Ritual Spells in the future.
So it’s like Rush Duel’s way of saying “you can only special summon “X” once per turn this way.”, with the Ritual Spell. Especially you can only ritual summon her once only that turn you used it.
