These two monsters fit well with the Summoned Skull Deck that exists in Rush Duels.
While not as powerful as the previous Black Over Rush Monsters, Abad the Negahell Emperor is still competent: being able to attack twice without limitation (attack directly) is something many Decks are looking for these days (and something so simple that it can become overwhelming with the right cards… I’m looking at you, Rush’s Harpie)
Well, these are somehow Royal Rebel support. I do with the excavator was a 9 or higher Fiend so we could throw it in Blaze Fiend for fun
Unfortunately, you misread. The excavator NEEDS level 9.
Is Abad the first level 9+ non-maximum main deck monster or am I misremembering.
No. You also have Eternity Aether Dragon (in 5th Anniversary Pack) and Sworn Supporter of the Celestial Saint (in Accel Road of the Attack).
This is the third of a series of Level 9 monsters with 2500 ATK and 2000 DEF to tie into a recent new Over Rush rarity (coinciding with a full art). They each share the same requirement, the hard OPT lock on their effect, and dedicated support cards for each of them.
Again Abad is very underpowered compared to the prior two Premium Black ORRs.
Malvaras is currently only limited to Abad, making it awful. Depending on how Konami plans to introduce more of these in the future, it could slowly get better once we have access to more Fiend Premium Black ORRs.
likely they keep doing new types each time
For a moment I thought they added Xyz Summons
Was my first thought also, that monster’s alternate artwork has strong XYZ vibes.
