That was the first thing I thought when I heard that it’s a Remaster, not a Reboot.
The logical thing would be to think that everything would remain intact since it’s a Remaster, but the situation of Air Neos makes things… curious.

There’s never been any issues with releasing the episodes that have Air Neos before. I don’t imagine it’ll be an issue now.
I’m surprised DM wasn’t the one who got this treatment.
But then again, I’m sure people would have appreciated a Reboot for DM or GX to fix the flaws both series had.

What are the differences between remake and remaster? I’m assuming remake would be something similar to Dragon Ball Kai to Dragon Ball Z, right? Is the remaster the exact copy and paste, but with better graphics?

They remastered all the series of DM in Japan in 2015. 4k version.
rremaster is exactly what u said abt DB Kai treatment of DBZ ( hq images/audios.. cutting off all fillers etc..)
remake is making “almost” new things, i say almost bcs u get the same idea/plot/synopsis (call it what u want) same charcters, same results.. as the old version but NOT necesarily same ‘events’. For example Digimon Adv 2020 which was a reboot/remake for Dg Adv 99
I hope this is not just “We slapped AI and told it to remaster GX.” I don’t think that was well received when it was done to the Daft Punk anime.
It won’t be, that’s not what a remaster is. It’s just going to be a new print of the show in a higher quality.

When it comes to GX, I would love to see either a Remake or a full on AU, bringing in all of the new cards that have come out since GX finished.
As for an AU, maybe make Jaden into a female, and her ace is “Yubel – The Loving Defender Forever” instead of “Elemental HERO Flame Wingman” (having not sent Yubel into space)
