What a useless promo.
Not only are Reptiles and Aquas not usually run together but Rush decks in general are very Type centric and the best cards of each theme support a specific Type/Attribute/stat line.
I wouldn’t say he was wasted after but they did start rushing the plot by then. It was nice seeing some consequences for Yuga Ohdo’s actions and after playing Yuo’s “genuinely evil”ness as a joke it was nice to see them play it straight considering he practically wiped out most of the named cast by himself.
If anything I just wish his deck referenced DM more like the other siblings reference their older series.

Bridge’s decision to separate story arcs by cours definitely goes against what many love about classic Yu-Gi-Oh!
The plot is usually a series long mystery and each arc adds just more hints to the larger mystery until we ultimately get the final answer at the end of the series.
Duel Monsters – Atem learning who he is and through others learns to become a good king. Yugi learning to stand on his own.
GX – Jaden’s connection to duel spirits and learning to take on responsibility while staying true to himself. You can be an adult and still love what you love from childhood.
5D’s – Yusei learning how important bonds are and knowing how to help others who have given up on their bonds grow to trust others and to see a future ahead of their despair.
ZEXAL – Yuna and Astral growing into their own by learning from each other’s example. The balance of wisdom and determination.
ARC-V – Even when the world and people are divided, Yuya learns how importance it is to smile and perform
for himself and not only for others.
VRAINS – Through Playmaker and Ai, overcoming trauma and differences to forge a future together. Both characters learn to open up and love others.
Other series such as 5D’s and ARC-V also have cours but they usually do a good job at keeping the plot to a minimum and gradually adding more complexity to the story whereas an entire antagonist faction and subsequent arc villain for Bridge must be introduced and resolved in 12-13 episodes.

I wonder if this means we’ll have Reptile support (maybe Chameleon) or we’ll have Aqua support related to an Anime Character.

Damn, I saw the artwork first and thought we were getting a new Venom monster. It was a nice thought for all of two seconds. (T_T)
Yuga Goha was a pretty cool character. It’s a shame the show wasted him after his duel with Otis.
