CDP: Tistina, Tearlaments, and Armored Xyz, ft. Double Wild

Double Wild ain’t for Poker Knights, it’s for Tistina!

Strategic Summary:

Today’s CDP features the return of the Tistina TCG WP archetype to my channel, and I am dedicating this video to its amazing synergy with the new Spell Card in SUDE: Double Wild (YGOrg Translation). When activated, this Quick-Play Spell targets a Level 5 or lower monster, adds a Level 10 monster with that type, then you can discard a card to Special Summon any monster with the same type from your hand. For the Tistina when you target any Aqua monster, this tutors a copy of Demigod of the Tistina, then you can elect to Special Summon Crystal God Tistina. This gives you a path to Crystal God that isn’t fully reliant on Divine Domain Baatistina and the opponent, plus it sets up an Xyz Summon play. Even if you don’t have Crystal God, it serves as yet another consistency piece to boost Tistina’s access to all of their other cards. That said, the Tistina haven’t come as the only Aqua theme in today’s build: I’ve brought along the Tearlaments as well.

The Tearlaments are a theme of DARK/Aqua monsters that are best known for Fusion Summoning by shuffling materials back into the deck whenever one of their three main deck options are sent to the GY by card effect. Their Spell and Trap support also have effects when sent to the GY by card effect, thus resulting in the theme often being combined with something like Lightsworn or Ishizu-Exchange that relies on mass milling. But let me clue you in on a secret – Sentinel of the Tistina can trigger them too. For example, set Tearlaments Sulliek to your backrow, then since it is a face-down card you can destroy with Sentinel, do so, get a Tearlaments search and a Tistina search for your minimal troubles. Bringing us back to the key card being showcased today, you can even discard a Tearlaments card while resolving Double Wild and trigger its effect, just be careful with Fusion Summoning as the only Aqua Fusion accessible in this deck is Tearlaments Rulkallos, since Tearlaments Kaleido-Heart is a Fiend monster! Spread the Breath of the Tistina with the help of the new Double Wild support card!
