CDP: Genex Ghoti, with Sky Striker

Today’s CDP asks the question: What else can do you do with all of the Genex monsters you tutor with the constant Normal Summons enabled by Repair Genex Controller? If you missed what I did before in a pure variant, be sure to check that out here, first: https://youtu.be/tfi0Nt_5480

Now that you’re back, let’s talk about how the Genex, a group of Machines and Friends, can bridge into the Ghoti Synchro Fish strategy. It’s actually quite simple – just make a Level 6 Synchro. You see, Arionpos, Serpent of the Ghoti can banish any Level 6 or lower Fish from your deck on summon, and when you banish Psiics, Moonlight of the Ghoti, you get to Special Summon it and tutor another Ghoti monster. While this may not seem to add all too much to the Genex strategy, I love that it gives the deck a bit more oomph during the opponent’s turn, as adding the additional threat of a Synchro Summoned White Aura Whale or Ghoti of the Deep Beyond just hits harder when your opponent is already struggling to get over a Arms of Genex Return Zero. It also gives the deck an alterative gameplan in case Repair is disrupted, even if you have Sky Striker Mecha – Eagle Booster to attempt to protect it and make it unaffected by card effects!
