The Tale of the Inherited “Legends”
The heroes who saved the world in the past and brought about peace are known as “The Grand Legends”. The adventurers who are either descendants of these heroes, as well those who inherit their ideals, are collectively known as “The Legends”, who have appeared to deal with the crises threatening the world once more. Borrowing the incredible power left behind by the “Grand Legends”, the “Legends” set out on an adventure to save the world.

sousou no frieren yugi version. They even have an elf that still is living when the new heroes appear.
I still have doubts about whether Legend Priest is the rejuvenated Grand Legend Priest to watch over/guide the new generation or she is a reincarnation of Grand Legend Priest (not a descendant), being the wisest member or the one who has the most knowledge of the group.
In both cases, that would explain why Legend Priest is the only one that can be treated as a Legend Card while Legend Saber, Magician and Scout are not (although it is possible that it is for Gameplay reasons)
I find it funny that, out of the descendants, Legend Magician ended up being the best in Rush Duels (while Grand Legend Magician is somewhat mediocre in Effect, even having less ATK compared to the other Grand Legends)
Yet it is still a backrow removal and has stats comparable to some Legend monsters namely Red-Eyes.
