“Everyone knows that Dungeons exist to be explored. When faced with a sufficiently dangerous Dungeon, Adventurers can’t help but put roots down nearby and challenge it day-in-day-out.”
“Dungeons are a prime source of riches and treasure after all, but all that glitters is not gold, and not every chest contains a treasure.”
“And the master of this Dungeon takes great pleasure in reminding would-be Treasure Seekers of that fact.”

I’m already seeing people complaining that they “changed” White Forest from Woods.
It was a coin flip either way and we guessed the TCG staff would go for alliteration. C’est la vie.
The words “Forest” and “Woods” are similar, it describes a place where lots of tall trees grow, and also, the word “jungle” is also similar meaning word too.
I mean, name of one of the cards is literally shout out to Witch Of The Black Forest. It’s nothing surprising that translators wanted to preserve it.
@stardust dragon jungle isn’t similar.
Woods are smaller than a forest and aren’t as densely populated by trees. Forests are thicker with trees and undergrowth and cover a larger area that are normally tread in by people and a jungle is normally overgrown with an abundance of trees and undergrowth that aren’t normally tread in by people and the climate is usually different to a forest.
They’re comparable sure by what they feature but not by what they are. White Woods sounds better for alliteration but White Forest fits better since they look more like a secret sect of witches that live in the deep forest away from civilization and not like, on the woods right on the edge of the neighborhood.
It’s not a change when translation is open to interpretation.
Ehem. It is. The only key difference, is that jungle is found mainly in tropical region, while forest/woods are found mainly in subtropical, tundra region. Biology is not that hard. Heaven for Botanist imo.
Forest/Woods faunas has tigers, bears, wild boar, etc.
Jungle faunas are similar, tigers, bears, clouded leopards, etc.
You said your opinion, I shared mine. Not really agreed nor disagree at all.
So I’m guessing they given up on the Ashened deck in favor for a new TCG exclusive archtype.
Ashened already got two waves of card releases. They haven’t given up anything, this is just how they do things.
every tcg archtype gets 2 waves of cards before switched to a new archtype…which Ashened has done it…only getting like 1-2 more cards in some other packs in future
Okay, people. Betting now for Mimighoul.
1) It will be bad
2) It will be mediocre
3) It will be unplayable
Only those options, another option is incorrect.
Give me mediocre, I don’t mind mediocre.
It’ll be Stunningly Average with any meaningful meta performance provided next year.
They look like the Weenie Hut Jrs version of Eldlich.
Dark Mimic supported
Extra disappointment for expectec no synergy with Dark Mimic.
I’m going to do a triple and say that the new archetype will be based on counter traps
My guess is that Mimighouls will be monster trap cards to go along with monster trap support we are getting lately. Also it just fits well with idea of a mimic.
Like the two Dark Mimics we already have from over a decade ago.
The “Master of the Dungeon” looks cute inhave some Eldlich Vibes from this new archtype
This new archetype looks funny ^^
99% probability of it being a mimic you say? Humph amateur, my instincts say that this will be the most glorious treasure.
It’s dark! I’m scared!!
For my “guess the new archetype’s gimmick”, I’ll say “a boss monster that grabs spells (especially equip spells) from the deck that do bad things to opponent’s monsters”.
I’m guessing the Mimighouls are a Deck that specifically respond to being attacked / targeted for the opponent’s effects. Possibly Trap Monsters “included”, as in we might have both those and Main Deck monsters. Could function similarly to either Eldlich or Traptrix.
Can anyone hazard a guess as to why the last few TCG exclusive archetypes have been underpowered to the point that they ended up staining the reputation of a cadre of cards that used to be considered meta defining?
They don’t want a repeat of the times they were too meta defining.
Another rogue deck in coming? Sounds like a rogue, less annoying version of Eldlith or something. Control deck seems fun, Might think of Triamids or something
Gimmighoul?
As a die-hard mimic enjoyer… Mimighoul seems boring aesthetically. They’re like the mediocre love child of a threeway between Ghostrick, Labrynth, and Eldlich, and frankly I’d rather play any of those three decks in terms of sheer aesthetics. But hey, maybe their gameplay will make up for it! Surely! Hopefully! Not like there’s reasons to be worried about TCG-first archetypes underperforming… haha… ha….
They really took Gimmighoul and made it into a YGO card. I’m cackling.
Me too lmao
