Well, someone said that they didn’t reveal anything related to the Anime in the first look of “Dark Matter of Phantoms”
I guess this counts for those interested in Dark Matter (and I don’t think it’s the last of the Card Images that will appear in the pack)
Of course, everything seems to indicate that there will be many Fusion Monsters in that package (where there is a lot of Contact Fusion for certain Decks): very similar to Yuo’s Pack in SEVENS Era.

Art reveals focus more on breadth and not on depth.
Red Reboot had Red-Eyes, Celeb Rose, Fish, Pixie, and Glacies, but omitted Darkness, Shaman Bandit, and Demolisher.
Phoenix of the Red Flame had Chemistry, Gaia, Cat-Trois, and Essel, but omitted Jointech, Secret Investigator, and Abysskite.
Konami has every reason to promote legacy support to attract MD players and game original meta staples. There could be a lot of anime content in here still.
The Dark Matter cards were always going to be omitted until they have a good reason to be shown as was the case tonight.

Dark Matter Requiem not being a Voidvelgr symbolizes Zuwijo abandoning his past attachments and pride as a Velgearian.
His other standalone Fusions and to a lesser extent Pandora had their names connect back to his people, but not anymore.

It’s curious that Voidvelgr Requiem has had a lot of Fusion Monsters that, in some way, symbolize Zwijo and his relationship/connection with other Characters (or with himself)
The amount of Requiem’s Fusion Monsters makes Dragias feel jealous somehow (despite having a Normal Monster, a Maximum Monster, and a Fusion Monster)

Zuwijo’s entire story arc is about connection, both to himself and to others, and is a parallel to Yudias in that regard. Fusion as a mechanic was introduced to Rush because Luke wanted to merge with The Lukeman.
So it makes sense Zuwijo has different Fusions based on how he sees himself.
Apocalypse – As a cursed soldier on the battlefield, unable to die and desiring power
Gigantomachia – As a war hardened veteran, eager to continue fighting no matter the cost
Pandora – As a general connected to his subordinates, desiring the hope to protect them
Chaosmachia – As a man who opened his heart to people outside of his race, learning to trust and believe in others
Gehennamagia – As a resurrected soldier without a home, cautious to trust others
Requiem – As the Dark Knight of the DME, abandoning past attachments

So, does this slate Voidvelgr support too? I hope so, more of the Void spells would be appreciated.

Dark Matter Requiem
Dark/Galaxy/8/3000/1300
“Voidvelgr Requiem” + “Contact Dark Matter Voyager”
You can Summon this card by Contact Fusion (Fusion Summon it by shuffling the above face-up monsters from your field into the owner’s Deck as material).
[REQUIREMENT] During your Main Phase that you Special Summoned this card.
[EFFECT] Change 1 face-up monster on your opponent’s field to face-down Defense Position. This turn, this card gains 1300 ATK, and if it attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage (if the ATK of the attacking monster exceeds the DEF of the attack target, inflict the difference).
…nothing very out there, so could see it the same. I guess it might depend on what Voyager’s Level and effect is.

Not to break the bubble, but Contact Dark Matter Voyager is a Normal Monster (obviously, DARK Galaxy)
Dark Matter Requiem is thinking of being your easy-to-access Fusion Monster via Contact Fusion in the Voidvelgr Deck (the other Voidvelgr Fusion Monsters require a lot of investment or are difficult to bring to the Field)
This Fusion Monster at least offers to put pressure on your Opponent with Pierce if this player goes for Defensive tactics (although it should be noted that many Contact Fusion Monsters in the Anime are Level 8. Which means they don’t get the extra protection of be a Level 9)

Yeah, just checked and saw, lol. Hopefully, being Normal, it’s not Level 5+

Seems to be 0/1300, so I guess Level 1-2, so that’s good.
