    The boys and girls and Declan and Shay. I wonder if this is because the fandom thought they might be counterparts before we knew how this worked.

If you spend at least ¥2200/$14.63 USD on these products, you can also receive a bonus postcard, though eeo Store have not shown it.

      To be fair, they still sort of are, just in a more meta/looser sense, as they both have the word for a color in their name that references their primary summon mechanic.
      Declan / Reiji “Aka”ba (meaning red, referencing the red Pendulum Scale)
      Shay Obsidian / “Kuro”saki Shun (meaning black, referencing Xyz)

      By this Sora is also a counterpart to both of them as his last name “Shiunin” has the word “Shi” which can mean purple, of course referring to Fusions. A bit disappointing we never ended up getting a “Shiro” character to wrap the pattern up nicely. Shinji Weber could’ve easily been that with a simple name change.

        I will always consider ENJOY! that counterpart, don’t care that’s he’s not a bishonen or fitting the naming scheme. Need more ENJOY! merchandise and less Shun.
