Hybridrive also sounds like an Anime Deck to me, especially when Hybridrive Back Fusion has Jointech Rex and Blue-Tooth in the Artwork.
Quite appropriate that it is called “Hybridrive” in reference to the fact that it is a Hybrid Deck.
Dragon and machine? Is Konami hiding the Cyborg fusions from us?
Do “Rock Doll” and “Clay Doll” as names make more sense than “Lock Doll” and “Cradoll”, or am I missing some reference?
This is a logical progression from Yuhi’s late Season 1/Season 2 build, where he would fuse Rex and Tamabot with Yuamu’s Dragons to summon Machine and Dragon Fusions. Yuhi even used Tama Bond, an anime only Fusion spell for both Types. Hybridrive is a more realistic evolution of that theme, with more realistic dragons and metallic weapons over the cartoonish mythological dragons and kid toys.

The format is becoming way too archetype driven just like the Master Duel, which I’m not fond of at all.
The funny thing is that… Rush Duels doesn’t have Archetypes itself: it has Themes.
Additionally, we cannot search by Archetype in Rush Duels and it is more common to see several Decks combined into one if the synergy exists (for example, I already see Dark Matter combining with Voidvelgr)
Even so, “archetypes” operate differently in Rush compared to Master Duel.
We don’t have searchers. At best, we have excavates that may add a specific card from the top of your Deck to your hand or much more likely to send cards from the top of your Deck to the GY. As a result, GY recovery is much more important here,
Also Rush archetypes either support specific cards by name, or a specific common stat line, Type, Attribute, or a combination of the three. Cats support Beast/Beast-Warrior with 200 DEF, or Love supports 0 ATK and DEF Fairies, while Sevens Rose supports Magician and sometimes Witch by name, and later on DARK Spellcasters.
Furthermore, every Deck has been theme specific from the start, with Rush first starting out supporting specific Types (Dragoncaster) to later supporting specific cards (Imaginary, Legend support), and eventually evolving into the current system we have now.
YES. This is the problem. Because they don’t have limitations like “color idenitty” in many other TCG (duel master. digimon, pokemon).
In those games there are archtype too, but there are also generic good card that can’t go to every deck because of the color limitation. While in YGO every cards can go to every deck.
They tried to making a some sort of “color limitation” like “Earth-machine” deck, or “FIRE-pyro/aqua/thunder” deck. (Like what limitation they doing in OCG/TCG).
I think this is because every character in the anime is using SAME deck from the start to end (with maybe changes 1-2 times). And those decks didn’t change at all in playstyle.
In duel masters, Joe for example, is always using the same Joker deck. But because of the nature of the game to introduce new mechanic each year. This year’ joker playstyle will be really different with previous year’ joker deck.
Even bushiroad game using this formula. In VG, there are RoyalPaladin limit break deck, legion deck, etc. (the problem in bushiroad is just powercreep really, limit break deck can’t beat legion deck etc)
Dogura that’s quite the opposite, not having the limitation of “color identity” is one of the differentials of yugioh and allows for exemple water thunder or zombies go for burn strategys becase ur are not lock on the desing of pyro or fire identity bieng burn. Also thouse limitations make a stationary desing and if they break thouse limitations they can break the game becase of the generic tools of the color.
Love that best girl Yuamu is still getting support. Recently tried out some Rush duels with a deck themed around her and been having a blast

Ok, I did not expect this prior information from the following package.
I think it’s clear that many of these new Decks (Hybridrive, Cybersepice and Dark Matter) are for GO RUSH’s Season 3.
– As I thought, Bluetech Burst Rex is the Ohdo twins’s Fusion Monster if Yuamu was the dominant one. Jointech Burst Dragon is the Ohdo twins’s Fusion Monster if Yuhi were the dominant one. Amusingly and ironically, Bluetech Burst Rex is not compatible with the Fusion Spell Card “Jointech Joint”.
-Just from the Artwork of Hybridrive Back Fusion, which has Rex and Blue-Tooth, makes me think that Hybridrive is a Deck for one of the Ohdo twins.
– Cybersepice sounds like that Deck that a “Ko” Girl in SEVENS would use. In fact, seeing the constant references to Otes, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a “Ko” Girl in GO RUSH’s Season 3.
– Dark Matter sounds like its spiritual successor to Zwijo’s Deck. It is possible that it belongs to one of the Antagonists of GO RUSH’s Season 3 (possibly the second in command or the team leader)
– Straynge Cat, Chemicalize and Dragonic (Slayer) are receiving support. Konami wants you to play with the Spellcasters cats, as well as continue supporting Dragonic Slayer, which is a popular Deck in Rush’s Duel Links. Chemispet Parakeet completes the “Chemispet” family, which is missing the member focused on the FIRE Pyro combination.
– Rush’s Blue-Eyes looks like he’ll be getting a new Fusion Monster here. Likewise, it seems that there will be more support for “Five-Headed Dragon” Deck (which was basically The Lugh Deck)
