LIGHT Rituals unite, to protect and serve Lo.

Strategic Summary:
Today’s CDP features the return of the Voiceless Voice to my channel, previously localized as Silenforc. If you missed my pure profile covering them after PHNI, be sure to check that out here first: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMA45uU_g6E
This time around, the deck has many of the same plays in its toolkit, just optimized to extract a much heavier toll on an opponent trying to make a play, especially with the newest arrivals to the Voiceless theme. First up we have Saffira, Dragon Deity of the Voiceless Voice (YGOrg Translation), a new Level 7 LIGHT Dragon that draws 2 then discards 1 on summon, as long as you have Lo, the Prayers of the Voiceless Voice on the field or in the GY. Additionally, it continues the trend of infinite recovery of this archetype by grabbing any LIGHT monster from your GY during the opponent’s End Phase. Speaking of recovery, the theme got yet another card to do just that in Blessing of the Voiceless Voice (YGOrg Translation), a Continuous Spell that recovers any Voiceless Voice card from your GY or banishment. Additionally, if a non-Ritual monster is Summoned, Blessing allows you to immediately Ritual Summon a LIGHT Warrior or Dragon, protecting that Ritual Summoned monster from battle. This adds to the already crazy boards that the Voiceless could already generate, and you can even cycle Sauravis, the Ancient and Ascended multiple times in a single turn to negate multiple Special Summons!
Moving onto the other star of today’s profile, we have the Herald Ritual monsters: Herald of Perfection and Herald of Ultimateness. With the protection that Barrier of the Voiceless Voice offers to all LIGHT Rituals, this is already a major plus for the Herald strategy, which aims to negate anything your opponent tries to activate by discarding a Fairy. The one downside here, is that you actually don’t have all that many Fairies to discard. Unlike the pure Herald of Perfection deck that used to exist eras ago to negate everything, this deck uses Herald as a deterrent, preventing an errant effect from wiping the board of Ritual Monsters you worked so hard to establish. While I did choose to run Oracle of the Herald here to allow for the tutoring of Ultimateness, with Pre-Preparation of Rites, you’ll most commonly be summoning your Level 12 Ritual with the help of Prayers of the Voiceless Voice, since it is able to Ritual Summon any LIGHT monster. Continuing the Herald side of the deck, Diviner of the Herald makes another appearance, grabbing any Ritual Monster or Spell from the deck through the help of Herald of the Arc Light, and you always have Herald of Mirage Lights waiting in the wings if you don’t have the ability to Ritual Summon Perfection or Ultimateness.
I know what you might be thinking – there’s not enough Rituals yet here. And I clearly agreed, as I also threw the Impcantations in here! The Impcantation archetype exists as generalized support for any Ritual Deck. Impcantation Talismandra can tutor any Ritual Monster, Impcantation Candoll can tutor any Ritual Spell, and Impcantation Chalislime can summon either from the deck! Throw in the field’s own Ritual Spell in Impcantation Inception, and you’re set to make anything you set your mind to. Just remember, Saffira, Dragon Queen of the Voiceless Voice can send your copy of Inception to the GY, giving you even more access to any Impcantation at your ease. As for the final engines at play, Cyber Angel Benten is up first, as it is just a great LIGHT monster to Tribute, since it tutors any LIGHT Fairy, and in particular, Diviner of the Herald.
And then lastly we have my favorite archetype, the Trickstar, making an appearance, this time in the form of Trickstar Mandrake and Trickstar Light Stage. The Field Spell should be self-explanatory, but it is really great here at helping the Voiceless go second and break through a deck that establishes some set backrow to throw thorns in your gameplan. On the other hand, Mandrake is a really cool tech that Special Summons itself when sent from the hand to the GY. This is helpful of course to get an extra body when discarding her with Ultimateness, but it also just happens to trigger the effect of Blessing during your opponent’s turn on your terms. For all intents and purposes, this extra Ritual Summon can even trigger you to summon back Lo again, this time putting a Radiance of the Voiceless Voice on your field for additional disruption. Either way, I’ve said enough about the Voiceless theme, so hope you enjoy it!

As a day 1 voiceless player this is probably the worst voiceless deck I’ve ever seen. At this point just play drytron. The herald cards don’t synergize with the voiceless cards as they only support light dragons and warriors, the forced trickster engine does not benefit anything. 2 voiceless trap is just not needed at all, it’s a 1 of. Even pretending that this were a good combination of decks, 2 pre prep makes absolutely no sense why not play 3, as well as playing both heralds makes no sense either when you will only ever need one. Barrier is the best spell in voiceless yet is at 2 meanwhile the worst voiceless spell blessing is at 2 when it has no reason to ever be played. And the thing that was said about using herald as a deterrent is useless because voiceless already protects itself on its own.
Hi there – Thanks for providing your thoughts!
First off, this combination was requested by someone to use Herald with the Voiceless, so that’s why I featured them together, to meet a request. That said, it’s far from the worst Voiceless build out there, and hyperbole doesn’t help anyone build any decks better, so I’d suggest avoiding that. From a conceptual standpoint, the Voiceless cards work with LIGHT Dragons and Warriors, yes, but the support cards work with any LIGHT Ritual, which is the point of synergy I focused on to meet the request and make a functional deck.
As for specific card comments – Your point about the Trap is fair, especially after Blessing exists now to recover a solo copy. I’ll give you that. As for Pre-Preparation of Rites, it carries a hard once per turn. Yes, you want to resolve it, and yes, it’s great to start with, but getting multiple copies does not go well. When you factor in the extra drawing this deck has, that just wasn’t a risk I wanted to take. Now, there is an argument that Radiance does work as a way to shuffle a Ritual Spell back into the deck to make a late-in-the-game Pre-Prep useful again, but the last rationale was what I went with.
Next up, yes, Barrier is the better Continuous Spell of the two, but that does not mean that you should auto-include 3 copies of it. While it is a starter, you have plenty of ways to get to it already, and the deck doesn’t have to start with it, because there are plenty of other starters available to you. As for Blessing, I disagree that it has no reason to be played, especially in this build, which uses Herald’s discards to your advantage during the opponent’s turn. It also synergizes exceptionally well with Lo and OG Sauravis. It also gives you the opportunity to bring out Lo during your opponent’s turn, giving you another S/T placement.
Lastly, Herald as a deterrent isn’t useless – it’s just not the Herald you’re used to seeing. The Voiceless have a single negate activation in the archetype – that is not enough in the modern game where there is so many effects and extenders flying around. Heck, even this deck can extend through 1 negation. Herald by itself is a threat to your opponent, just due to the unknown quandary of how many Fairies are in your hand. You probably don’t have many, but should they risk that? And the Voiceless protection extends to Herald, letting you apply even more pressure.
To summarize – is this the best Voiceless build out there? Probably not, because it wasn’t meant to be. Instead of just being negative, might I suggest being open to directing someone in the right direction. I make these CDPs to inspire folks to try out new archetypes themselves, or think about new synergies they hadn’t considered before – Perhaps posting a better list and talking about what it does better would be a more productive approach, and help contribute to that positivity. Just my two cents!
Either way, thanks for commenting!
Hey Quincy, tbh I very much enjoy your deckmaking regardless of what archetypes you’re presenting. I find myself looking through your card choices to help fill in or moderate my own decks for those that I’m not sure of.
Currently I’m hoping you’ll do an Aroma/Vaalmonica deck at some point, mainly to see what Counter Anti-Cure or Pendulum protection cards you would recommend that I could add to my own (Currently only have Prime Material Dragon and Pendulum Impenetrable in those cases), or if you recommend adding some Sunavalon to the mix, etc
Hi there! I definitely saw a similar comment before, so don’t worry, I didn’t miss your request. I’ve been testing out an Aroma/Vaalmon build, but I haven’t quite got the kinks worked out yet to try and present it as a profile. It’s something that I’d like to come back to in a bit, maybe it’ll be smth I explore further for my April CDPs.
That said, I don’t really think anti-dmg cards are the way to go, even in pure Aroma, as while you do benefit from high LP, your main advantage comes from effects when you gain LP. So I wouldn’t suggest getting any of those pre-emptively.
This was not just negativity as I told you issues with the deck and better ratios. I was not using hyperbole when I called this deck the worst voiceless deck I have ever seen. The support cards also supporting light rituals does not mean it helps voiceless in any sort of meaningful way, which it doesn’t. Your point on pre prep at 2 is bad as you are playing a 50-card deck and drawing multiples will rarely if ever come up. Not playing 3 barrier which is an amazing searcher/starter for the only good section of the deck also makes no sense. There is no point in running both heralds, and herald of perfection is the better one for this deck. The very forced trickstar engine is awful as well as crealtar. Voiceless’s single negate is most definitely enough as the overwhelming majority of topping lists have been playing it pure(some run dogmatika). Voiceless’s strength is from resource management, consistency, and its own protection. Voiceless themselves dont have many issues in modern formats, and in fact ever since eva got banned herald is the deck that has issues now. This is just a bad voiceless list that is carried by the fact that voiceless is good. Everything else here just holds the deck back.
