Oddly, no Space Needle reference, but I guess Seattle is a big tech town.

Important to note that not only are these the first english language Rush Duel cards, they have the set code “RD/2024-EN” meaning we have an official english Rush Duel set code. i think we’ll see some Rush News later this month or start of next month.
The cards also have extremely generic Unity asset font, which makes me a bit doubtful.
I wouldn’t count on it, Worlds prize cards are always in English and what other set code would they use for that? I don’t think it necessarily means anything
You won’t see Rush News because it’s not coming over. Despite many people claiming Japan has a uniquely tight TCG market, the West is just as tight, and KoA doesn’t want to compete with itself or attempt to gamble on a new card game that might not take off. The collectors don’t care about Rush Duels, the competitive players already have a home in Master format, and the anime is competing with six trillion other kids shows and media. There’s just no fiscal reason to port it here.
I doubt it. The time to release that was years ago. How do you release like 30 odd sets of stuff now in the west without condensing it? If it ever happens, it’ll be a speed duel type of product because there’s no anime to market the cards to the west unless you want to go back to the dub of sevens. They could go from go rush onwards but again you’re cutting out like half the products already with that.
Besides, middling success on duel links and 2 animes (one dubbed one not) with an iffy release and reception to western audiences doesn’t sell cards. I don’t think them using these as prize cards changes anything, if at all.
Getting tired of the copium from morons who think “english Rush duel in 2 weeks”. Starting to sound like those people post election who kept saying “Trump will be back in office in 2 weeks” never gonna happen. It’s been 4 years.
Wait and see, maybe we’ll get a certain Bruno to deliver like 30 paragraphs on why it’s definitely happening.
Rush duel in the west is not that impossible, at least they could give a try, but yeah, they would need to heavily adapt the early rush product to avoid the slow stars.
Like instead of just yuga/Luke starters, you drop the saikyo starters, instead of 2 options to start with, you have 7 instead, three of them even introduce maximum.
For main boosters, you can overhaul early product, you skip stuff like Fish or Ants that would not be usable for a long time as it would be only half a deck and introduce later support more quickly, like for exemple, the Chemical cure stuff for psychic or adding some of the later spellcaster support so spellcaster based deck is not just “dark liberation or die”.
You could also use concept like “Deck Build Pack” to help catch up. For exemple, you could have a Pack that introduce and focusing on Music Princess, mimi Dian Keto stuff and Beast Gear, with main booster adding 1-2 indirect support. That would free up a lot of space in main pack. Basically what japan rush tried to do with the first “character pack”, but with the possibility of going faster. Like, there is no real reason to wait 6 month to introduce cards like Liogon for beast gear, and you would also be able to introduce core utility cards like the usual “mst clone for type” more easily.
With a strategy like that, if you rotate main pack and “theme build pack” every month, you could likely introduce most of the important themes of Sevens in less than 1 years? because let’s be honest, early sevens had a lot of “useless filler” stuff.
With the format starting with a bunch of usable deck instead of being “Dragoncaster or die”.
Of course, It would never catch up to japan unless they do once in a while a “Rush duel box” with something like 150 import at once as ocg rush have a bit over 2000 cards already.
on that topic, look at AE. they’re already almost caught up with the ocg/tcg. it is certainly possible, and now would be the best time to do it if they ever decide to, what with Go Rush world in DL, these prize cards, and the fact that they established a western trademark and have the Go Rush dub supposedly in development on the backburners
It’s hard to make out, but there’s a reference to Space needle in the bottom left of Dragon of Illumination, Sanctuary’s Shield’s artwork. Much easier to notice on the mat.
If konami can somehow make some rush duel cards into official card game that would be good 😊
There is some cards from RD that have art from the official game
Instead of wondering if Rush will come over or not just the fact that we got Rush themed prize cards at all should be a testament to how far the game has come even if only on mobile.
So Rush Duel prize cards in English? Surely they must bring the game over to the TCG. Otherwise, why even bother? They must be mockups like how Decode Talker was different before Link Strike came out.
I mean the very first Jump card was a Blue Eyes White Dragon printed in English but it was distributed only in Japan…they made a reprint for the rest of the world. Ah but also these cards are not playable in any way so I don’t think it counts…
