The ultimate remake.
The name of this Monster Reborn remake is “Magic Card: “Monster Reborn””, in the same fashion as card activations are announced in the earlier manga/anime. The name might have to be changed to “Spell Card” or something else for obvious reasons.
The text blurbs highlight that “that card is now a Quick-Play!?” and that “the super popular card, emblematic of “Yu-Gi-Oh!”, is born once again with a new effect!”
The effect will be revealed on January 7th (time zones applying).
As a side note, the manga panel this is based from is from the Duel vs. Pandora/Arkana, as both Dark Magicians attack each other and are destroyed in battle, with both Duelists activating Monster Reborn immediately at the same time.

Gonna predict the effect:
“Banish 1 “Monster Reborn” from your hand or GY; Special Summon 1 monster from either GY.”
Hopefully it doesn’t involve the battle phase.
well, if that’s the effect, it will be unplayable.
It’s a VJump promo, so I’m not expecting too much.
Send 1 Level 7 or higher Spellcaster-type monster from your hand/deck to GY; Special Summon 1 monster from either players’ GY. This effect cannot be chained to. This card can only be activated once per turn.

Monster Rebirth [Normal Trap]
If a monster(s) was destroyed by battle this turn: Send 1 “Monster Reborn” from your hand or Deck to the GY, then target 1 monster in either GY; Special Summon that monster to your field. (This is treated as a Special Summon by the effect of “Monster Reborn”.)
They should release the rest of Arkana cards from the anime/manga. Shadow Balance I could see being a nasty comeback tool.

I would love to see Shadow Balance printed. I know we already have Evenly Match but I still think it would see play.

i hate alien dark magician so much. Idk why konami don´t use the purple dark magician from anime… 🙁
Green DM is the official manga color
I call it licorice magician, I usually hate it but there are two cards I think it good on, the one that’s based on the original manga card’s art and the new one. They should start doing the black dm colors, he looked the best with white hair, grey skin, and black armor.
Yeah, I wish the other colored Dark Magicians got some love when it comes to the spell and trap artworks. The blue Dark Magician color scheme reminds me of a knock-off candy cane.
I’m still mad that Monster Rebirth’s effect has nothing to do with the panel it’s portraying: Necrofear reviving and Earl of Demise crashing into it. It should have been in response to an attack, the summoned monster becomes the new attack and proceed to damage calculation etc.
Makes me wonder what would happen if replays in ygo were reworked. What if you had to attack one of the newly summoned monsters if possible? That trap that cheats out z-ark would get really silly.
