Duskarmor
Disc(overy) + Karma
lmao, trust me.
The first part is definitely Dis-. Armor would be アーマー. Karma makes the most sense for the suffix as it’s カルマ.
Miragias be like;
I hope oblivipn ritual too
Now that you can see the appearance of the Ritual Monster better (without color obviously), it has a more European feel/style, leaning towards a fantasy world aesthetic, compared to the Japanese feel/style of the other Transamu.
Being a Level 11 is not a surprise and also confirms that it comes from the Extra Deck since it is mentioned that it can only be called with a Ritual Spell Card (as if it were some kind of Fusion Monster)
It doesn’t confirm the extra deck at all. Chances are that is how they work but you summon rituals in the TCG with a ritual spell card too.
@Rue The big giveaway is that Kuaidul didn’t have a ritual monster in hand when he summoned it, just the 3 monsters he tributed, the spell and a random trap.
Pet theory: Ritual monster can be summoned from the main deck with the ritual spell card. But if ritual monster is in player’s hand, then that ritual monster can be advanced summoned like a regular high level monster
the thing what they could have done is put a random card in to hide that it was in his hand to just not show it off back then.
This would be the biggest step forward for Rush Duel if that’s true, because right now there’s nothing that allows you to search through the deck for a specific card. Best we’ve got is excavate a number of cards, or do something from the graveyard.
However I think the extra deck would make more sense, especially since I also noticed that Ritual Rainac had to have its monsters summoned to the field first. Kuaidul could’ve done it for style purposes, but it’s also possible that this is a change similar to how Fusion works differently.
I’m still holding out hope that this is a hybrid between Ritual and Link – it requires a spell card and has a level, but the monster/spell has certain specific requirements that have to be met beyond just a raw level requirement.
There’s no deck searching in Rush Duels. Theory’s dead.
RIP my boi Galactica oblivion who is far cooler than Rainac
If I had a nickel for every time we got a sinister demonic god retrain of one of Yudias’s ace monsters that is somehow still LIGHT attribute, I would have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird it happened twice
However… for Duel Links, Transamu Rainac is not an Ace Monster (when it should be since Rainac has more importance in the Plot than Galactica Oblivion)
For being the face of perhaps the most torturous experience any YGO MC has gone through, the new Rainac looks so happy.
Level 11 will probably be the unofficial Level “belonging” to Rituals in the same way that 9 is common for Fusions and 10 is for Maximums.
Rituals only need one specific Spell as opposed to Fusions needing two specific monsters, which with Rituals being in the Extra gives them a slight edge over Fusions, so I’m hoping they don’t end up making the latter obselete.
Fusion Summon has diversified a lot these days: Rush Duels now have Fusion Summon with the GY, Super Poly, Effect Monsters that allow Fusion Summon, and Field Spells that facilitate Fusion Summon.
In fact, Fusion Monsters no longer necessarily require having two specific Fusion Materials, but you get weaker/generic Effects in exchange (or a lower Level that makes you vulnerable to a lot of things)
The most neglected Mechanic currently is Maximum, which has the same problems as Rituals in Master Duels.
I play the Spell card Discoveration (it’s a play on Polymerization but for Ritual, plus the Ritual started with Disco-); it lets me Ritual Summon a Ritual Monster using monsters I control as Ritual Materials. I think this is the first Lv11 monster in Rush Duel; Lv9 is mostly common now.
WOW it has the ability to lower the opponent monsters atk and have multiple attacks!!! just like every other Rush Boss Monster at this point… seriously Konami you are doing the same mistake with Rush than you did with Master Duel… Vertical Development, there’s a lot of Different ways to make a Boss Monster effect NOT EVERY ONE has to be the “Opponent monsters lose [X] ATK, this card can Attack [X] times”
Ironically, that Boss Monster that can reduce ATK and do Multiple Attacks that you mention is not a strong Deck in Rush Duels. In fact, this Ritual Monster doesn’t seem to have Protection, so any Trap Card or Effect that can destroy any Monster of any Level can defeat it.
The strongest Boss Monster is one that gains ATK that lasts until your Opponent’s Turn and has extra Protection like Trap and Spell Cards…. And it’s a Level 1.
