Toy Story returns
When humans sleep or go outside……or otherwise aren’t noticing, they secretly move. They like customizing themselves by combining various parts, sometimes equipping weapons and armor and having fun battling like a sport. And when they notice a human, they return to being a model once again.
TL note: “They” is written as 模型[たち] (mokei-tachi, models), force-read as “カノジョ[たち]” (kanojo-tachi, they), with the exception of the last time once the humans return, in which it’s simply read as “model”.

As I suspected, Plasmatic Model seems to draw a lot of inspiration from Toy Story in its Lore: where children play with these Models and then secretly start fighting each other for fun.
I suppose the act of “resurrecting” them after no one sees them can be considered the essence of “Ritual Summon” trick.
What’s the lore for why they only cling to girls?
In general, several Plasmatic Model Monsters are based on many things: weapons, animals, artifacts, and girls in armor (being the Main Ones)
Why are Plasmatic Model’s Main Monsters girls? Perhaps it’s due to the popularity of their inspiration: Plasmatic Model girls are based on Frame Arms Girls and have elements from the Anime series Symphogear, which focuses on girls wearing music-powered battle armor (which can be seen in Plasmatic Model’s Equip Spell)
There are quite a lot of popular lines of models that are just anime girls in cool mecha armor; it’s the entire Mecha Musume thing.
Lines like Frame Arms Girl, Megami Device etc.
@Paplod Speaking of Symphogear, if I remember correctly, the director for 5Ds worked on Symphogear G and made a reference to Junk Warrior’s signature attack.
Just thought I share that.
The fanbase is mostly straight and male lol
Because Busou Shinki was a thing Konami used to print, it is defunct so they are reusing the concept here, when you see some of the actual models they did you get to realize Plasmatic Model is heavily inspired by that toy line.
Pretty straightforward lol. Still neat.
