A: When you activate the effect of Performapal Sky Pupil that Special Summons it from the hand, you must return a face-up Level 5 or higher “Performapal” monster in your Monster Zone to its owner’s hand as the cost. Q: A Destiny HERO – Dystopia that was Special Summoned from the Extra Deck is face-up on my opponent’s field. During my opponent’s Standby Phase, I activate the effect of Speedroid Glasskull in my hand and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position. If my opponent’s Destiny HERO – Dystopia attacks my Speedroid Glasskull, and Speedroid Glasskull is destroyed by battle, does the effect that makes my opponent take any battle damage received from its battles apply?
A: The effect of Speedroid Glasskull that makes your opponent take any battle damage received from its battles is not only applied when Speedroid Glasskull battles a Normal Summoned monster, and still applies when it battles Special Summoned monsters. If Speedroid Glasskull battles a Special Summoned monster, the effect that prevents it from being destroyed by battle will not apply, but the effect that makes your opponent take the battle damage from this battle is applied. (In this scenario, the 2800 ATK Destiny HERO – Dystopia attacked the 0 ATK Speedroid Glasskull, so your opponent takes 2800 battle damage.)

A: The Pendulum Effect of Zefratorah Grammaton makes its Pendulum Scale become the same as the Pendulum Scale of the monster added to your Extra Deck. Therefore, another monster with the same Pendulum Scale (such as another Zefratorah Grammaton) cannot be chosen. However, if the Pendulum Scale of Zefratorah Grammaton is changed to a value other than 5 by an effect such as Pendulum Shift, you can add another Zefratorah Grammaton to your Extra Deck face-up using its Pendulum Effect.

Q: I Special Summon Zefratorah Grammaton from my Extra Deck by the method written in its text. If I perform a Pendulum Summon by applying the effect of Zefratorah Grammaton, can my opponent negate the Pendulum Summon with Solemn Judgment?
A: A Pendulum Summon performed by applying the effect of Zefratorah Grammaton can be negated with the effect of Solemn Judgment, as with a regular Pendulum Summon.

Q: After I Special Summon Zefratorah Grammaton from my Extra Deck by the method written in its text, if I have not performed my regular Pendulum Summon that turn, can I first Pendulum Summon “Zefra” monsters by applying the effect of Zefratorah Grammaton?
A: As in this scenario, during the turn you Special Summoned Zefratorah Grammaton, you can Pendulum Summon “Zefra” monsters by applying the effect of Zefratorah Grammaton even if you haven’t Pendulum Summoned normally that turn yet. (In that case, you must inform your opponent whether you are applying the effect of Zefratorah Grammaton or performing your regular Pendulum Summon.)

A: In this scenario, Zefratorah Grammaton is destroyed by the effect of Torrential Tribute and added face-up to the Extra Deck after being Special Summoned. Even so, since Zefratorah Grammaton was successfully Special Summoned, you can Pendulum Summon “Zefra” monsters by applying the effect of Zefratorah Grammaton this turn.

MACR-JP035 Firecracker
Q: I activate the effect of Firecracker by discarding it from my hand. If my opponent chains the effect of Hanewata by discarding it from their hand, how does the effect of Firecracker resolve?
A: In this scenario, after the effect of Hanewata is applied, your opponent takes no effect damage for the rest of this turn. Since the effect of Firecracker cannot inflict 1000 damage to your opponent, you do not skip your next Draw Phase.

Q: I activate the effect of Firecracker by discarding it from my hand. If my opponent chains Magicians’ Defense, and they control a face-up Spellcaster-Type monster, how does the effect of Firecracker resolve?
A: In this scenario, while the effect of Magicians’ Defense is applying, the damage Firecracker inflicts to your opponent is halved to 500. In this case, although the damage was halved, the effect of Firecracker still inflicted damage to your opponent, so you will skip your next Draw Phase normally.

Q: A face-up Firecracker on my field has 3 counters placed on it by its own effect, as well as an Ice Counter placed on it by the effect of Snowman Creator. In this situation, how does the effect of Firecracker activate and resolve during the End Phase?
A: When the effect of Firecracker resolves during the End Phase, only the counters placed on it by its own effect are removed. In this scenario, the Ice Counter is not removed from Firecracker, but the 3 counters placed by its own effect are removed and your opponent takes 900 damage.

Q: I have 2 copies of Firecracker face-up on my field, and each one has 2 counters placed on it by its own effect. In this situation, how will the effect of each Firecracker activate and resolve during the End Phase?
A: If there are 2 copies of Firecracker on your side of the field, the effects of both copies do not form a single Chain together during the End Phase, but are activated and resolved separately. In this scenario, when the effect of the first copy resolves, 2 counters are removed from it and 600 damage is inflicted to your opponent. (Due to this damage, 1 more counter is placed on each Firecracker.) When the effect of the second copy resolves, 3 counters are removed from it and 900 damage is inflicted to your opponent. (Due to this damage, 1 more counter is placed on each Firecracker.) Consequently, you will end the turn controlling a Firecracker with 1 counter on it and the other with 2 counters on it.

A: In this scenario, if Firecracker is changed to face-down Defense Position by the effect of Book of Moon, any counters placed on it are removed, so no counters are removed when resolving its effect. As a result, your opponent does not take any damage.

MACR-JP038 Fairy Tail – Kaguya
Q: Macro Cosmos is face-up in the Spell & Trap Zone, and its effect that banishes any cards that would be sent to the Graveyard is applying. In this situation, if I activate the effect of Fairy Tail – Kaguya by targeting a face-up Lunalight Cat Dancer on my opponent’s field, can my opponent negate the effect by sending a card with the same name from their Main Deck or Extra Deck to the Graveyard?
A: As in this scenario, while the effect of Macro Cosmos is applying, any cards that would be sent to the Graveyard are banished instead. In this case, when the effect of Fairy Tail – Kaguya resolves, if your opponent cannot send a monster with the same name as the targeted monster from their Main Deck or Extra Deck to the Graveyard, Fairy Tail – Kaguya and the targeted monster is returned to their owners’ hands. MACR-JP039 Supreme King Dragon Zarc

Q: When Fusion Summoning a Supreme King Dragon Zarc with the effect of Polymerization, can I use Iris Magician, Black Fang Magician, White Wing Magician, and/or Violet Poison Magician as Fusion Materials?
A: Supreme King Dragon Zarc requires 1 Dragon-Type Fusion Monster, 1 Dragon-Type Synchro Monster, 1 Dragon-Type Xyz Monster, and 1 Dragon-Type Pendulum Monster as its Fusion Materials. Iris Magician, Black Fang Magician, White Wing Magician, and Violet Poison Magician are all Pendulum Monsters, but they are not Dragon-Type monsters and are never treated as Fusion, Synchro, or Xyz Monsters. Thus, when Fusion Summoning a Supreme King Dragon Zarc with the effect of Polymerization, Iris Magician, Black Fang Magician, White Wing Magician, and Violet Poison Magician cannot be used as Fusion Materials.

If you use Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon as one of the Fusion Materials, you can treat it as either the Dragon-Type Xyz Monster or Dragon-Type Pendulum Monster required as Fusion Material. If your opponent activates Illusion Magic as Chain Link 1 and adds a Dark Magician from their Deck to their hand, you can activate the Pendulum Effect of Supreme King Dragon Zarc. A: In this scenario, when resolving the Pendulum Effect of Supreme King Dragon Zarc, even if one of the two cards drawn with the effect of Pot of Desires is no longer in your hand, the other card is destroyed normally. (In this scenario, Emergency Teleport is not destroyed, but Brain Hazard is destroyed by the effect of Supreme King Dragon Zarc.)

A: As in this scenario, if a Lyrical Luscinia – Independent Nightingale is Fusion Summoned using 2 copies of Lyrical Luscinia – Assembly Nightingale with Xyz Materials as its Fusion Materials, and its effect is activated, its Level will be increased by the total number of Xyz Materials that were attached to those Fusion Materials (4 in this case).

This turn, even if my Windwitch – Glass Bell attacks, do I take battle damage?
A: The effect of Lyrical Luscinia – Assembly Nightingale prevents “Lyrical Luscinia” monsters from being destroyed by battle or card effects that turn, but reduces any battle damage you take this turn to 0, including from your opponent’s direct attacks and when your monsters other than “Lyrical Luscinia” monsters battle. A: Even if a face-down Defense Position monster on your opponent’s field is destroyed by the effect of Raidraptor – Étranger Falcon, your opponent takes damage equal to its original ATK normally. (In this scenario, since the destroyed monster is an Invoked Raidjin, your opponent takes 2200 damage.)

Q: A Zoodiac Boarbow with Zoodiac Viper attached as Xyz Material battles my D/D/D Boulder King Darius. In this situation, can the effects of D/D/D Boulder King Darius and the effect of Zoodiac Boarbow gained from Zoodiac Viper both be used?
A: In this scenario, during damage calculation, you can decide whether or not to activate the second effect of D/D/D Boulder King Darius. If you do, the effect prevents D/D/D Boulder King Darius from being destroyed by battle while damage calculation is performed. After damage calculation, the part of the effect that destroys the opponent’s monster and inflicts 500 damage to the opponent is applied immediately, so Zoodiac Boarbow is destroyed. A: In this scenario, when the effect of D/D/D Boulder King Darius is applied, it prevents D/D/D Boulder King Darius from being destroyed by battle while damage calculation is performed. If Ancient Gear Howitzer is destroyed as a result of the battle, the effect that makes it unaffected by other cards’ effects stops applying at that point, so it will be destroyed again by the effect of D/D/D Boulder King Darius and your opponent takes 500 damage. Since Ancient Gear Howitzer is no longer considered to have been destroyed by battle, its effect that Special Summons an “Ancient Gear” monster from the Deck cannot be activated.

MACR-JP046 True King V.F.D., the Beast
Q: During my Main Phase 1, I activate the effect of True King V.F.D., the Beast by declaring the EARTH Attribute. During this turn, can my opponent activate the effect of Swift Scarecrow from their hand, or the effect of Peropero Cerperus from their Graveyard?
A: While the effect of True King V.F.D., the Beast is applied, your opponent’s monsters that have the declared Attribute cannot activate their effects, including outside of the field. In this scenario, since EARTH was declared, your opponent cannot activate the effect of Swift Scarecrow from their hand, nor the effect of Peropero Cerperus from their Graveyard.

Q: During my Main Phase 1, I activate the effect of True King V.F.D., the Beast by declaring the DARK Attribute. If my opponent has a face-up monster on their field that is already a DARK monster, such as Predaplant Sarraceniant, is it affected by the effect of True King V.F.D., the Beast?
A: The effect of True King V.F.D., the Beast is not just applied to monsters whose Attributes are changed by this effect. In this scenario, since Predaplant Sarraceniant is a DARK monster, its effect cannot be activated when it battles an opponent’s monster. Also, if Predaplant Sarraceniant is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, its effect that adds a “Preda” card from the Deck to the hand cannot be activated.

Q: During my Main Phase 1, I activate the effect of True King V.F.D., the Beast by declaring the DARK Attribute. During this turn, if my opponent then activates Call of the Haunted and Special Summons a Kozmo Dark Destroyer, can they activate its effect?
A: The effect of True King V.F.D., the Beast applies not only to monsters that are face-up on the field at the time the effect resolves, but also any monsters that are Special Summoned afterward. In this scenario, since DARK was declared, your opponent can Special Summon a Kozmo Dark Destroyer with the effect of Call of the Haunted, but the effect of Kozmo Dark Destroyer cannot be activated.

Q: During my opponent’s Main Phase 1, I activate the effect of True King V.F.D., the Beast by declaring the LIGHT Attribute. During this turn, if my opponent then Normal Summons a Double Resonator from their hand, can they activate its effect?
A: In this scenario, while the effect of True King V.F.D., the Beast is applied, all face-up monsters on the field will become LIGHT until the end of this turn. When your opponent Normal Summons a Double Resonator, which is originally a FIRE monster, it immediately becomes a LIGHT monster, and its effects cannot be activated. Furthermore, if Double Resonator is sent to the Graveyard, it stops being treated as a LIGHT monster, so its second effect can be activated from the Graveyard.

Q: During my Main Phase 1, I activate the effect of True King V.F.D., the Beast by declaring the EARTH Attribute. At this time, if my opponent has a Dark Simorgh face-up on their field, what will its Attribute(s) be? Furthermore, if my opponent then activates Call of the Haunted and Special Summons another Dark Simorgh, what will its Attribute(s) be?
A: Dark Simorgh is a DARK monster, but due to its own effect is also treated as a WIND monster while face-up in the Monster Zone. In this scenario, after the effect of True King V.F.D., the Beast has been applied by declaring the EARTH Attribute, Dark Simorgh will only be treated as an EARTH monster. (This is true regardless of whether Dark Simorgh was already face-up on the field or Special Summoned after the effect resolved.)

Q: During my Main Phase 1, I activate the effect of True King V.F.D., the Beast by declaring the LIGHT Attribute. Then I activate Mind Control and target an opponent’s face-down Defense Position monster. If that targeted monster is a face-down Amaterasu, can my opponent activate its effect by flipping it face-up?
A: In this scenario, since the effect of True King V.F.D., the Beast has been applied by declaring the LIGHT Attribute, even your opponent’s LIGHT monsters that are not face-up on the field cannot activate their effects. Therefore, if your opponent’s face-down Defense Position Amaterasu is targeted with Mind Control, your opponent cannot activate its effect.

Q: A True King V.F.D., the Beast is face-up on my field, and its effect allows me to destroy monsters on my opponent’s field when using the effect of a “True King” or “True Draco” monster in my hand. In this situation, if I activate the effect of Mariamne, the True Dracophoenix that Special Summons it from my hand, do I also have to destroy a WIND monster even if I choose 2 monsters on my opponent’s field?
A: Even if the effect of True King V.F.D., the Beast is applying, if you destroy 2 monsters on your opponent’s field when resolving the effect of Mariamne, the True Dracophoenix, you must include a WIND monster.

Q: A True King V.F.D., the Beast is face-up on my field, and its effect allows me to destroy monsters on my opponent’s field when using the effect of a “True King” or “True Draco” monster in my hand. In this situation, even if I do not have any WATER monsters in my hand or face-up on my field, but there are face-up WATER monsters on my opponent’s field, can I activate the effect of a True King Bahrastos, the Fathomer in my hand?
A: Even if there are no WATER monsters in your hand or your field, but there are face-up WATER monsters on your opponent’s field, you can activate the effect of a True King Bahrastos, the Fathomer in your hand by applying the effect of True King V.F.D., the Beast. Since you need to destroy 2 monsters including a WATER monster, you must destroy 1 of your opponent’s face-up WATER monsters when resolving the effect.

In this situation, if I activate the effect of True King Lithosazim, the Disaster that Special Summons it from my hand, can I destroy any face-down Defense Position monsters on my opponent’s field with its effect?
A: While the effect of True King V.F.D., the Beast is applying, if you destroy any of your opponent’s monsters when resolving the effect of True King Lithosazim, the Disaster, they must be face-up. (Face-down Defense Position monsters cannot be chosen.)

A: While the effect of True King V.F.D., the Beast is applying, if you include monsters on your opponent’s side of the field to destroy, you can resolve the effect True King Agnimazud, the Vanisher by destroying both monsters from your opponent’s field.

MACR-JP047 Zoodiac Hammerkong
Q: Can I activate the effect of Seasonal Direction to the Zoodiac from my Graveyard by targeting Zoodiac Broadbull, Zoodiac Tigress, Zoodiac Boarbow, Zoodiac Hammerkong, and Zoodiac Lyca in my Graveyard?
A: You can activate the effect of Seasonal Direction to the Zoodiac from the Graveyard by targeting 5 “Zoodiac” Xyz Monsters with different names. In that case, all 5 monsters return to the Extra Deck instead of the Main Deck, so the Main Deck is not shuffled. Even in that case, you will draw 1 card normally.

MACR-JP049 Magician’s Right Hand
Q: During my opponent’s Main Phase, if my opponent activates Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon as a Spell Card in their Pendulum Zone, will the effect of my Magician’s Right Hand be applied? Also, if my opponent activates the Pendulum Effect of Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon during their End Phase, will the effect of my Magician’s Right Hand be applied?
A: While Magician’s Right Hand is face-up on your field, if your opponent activates Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon from their hand to their Pendulum Zone, it is considered the activation of a Spell Card, so the effect of Magician’s Right Hand is applied and Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon is destroyed. Furthermore, while Magician’s Right Hand is face-up on your field, if your opponent activates the Pendulum Effect of Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, it is considered the activation of a Spell Card’s effect, so the effect is negated and Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon is destroyed.

Q: If my opponent activates the effect of Kozmo Lightsword when it is sent from the field to the Graveyard, if Magician’s Right Hand is face-up on my field, will the effect of my Magician’s Right Hand be applied?
A: As in this scenario, even when your opponent activates the effect of Kozmo Lightsword in the Graveyard, since it is treated as the activation of a Spell Card’s effect, the effect of Magician’s Right Hand is applied. The effect of Kozmo Lightsword is negated, but it is not destroyed because it is already in the Graveyard.

Q: If I activate Magician’s Right Hand, but my opponent chains Mystical Space Typhoon and targets Magician’s Right Hand, will the effect of my Magician’s Right Hand be applied?
A: The effect of Magician’s Right Hand can only be applied after the card itself has been activated and resolved. Thus, if your opponent chains Mystical Space Typhoon to the activation of Magician’s Right Hand, the effect of Magician’s Right Hand cannot be applied, and it is destroyed by Mystical Space Typhoon normally.

MACR-JP050 Magician’s Left Hand
Q: I activate Magician’s Left Hand, and then activate the effect of Performapal Sky Magician that increases its ATK by 300. If my opponent chains Solemn Strike to negate the activation of the effect, will the effect of my Magician’s Left Hand be applied?
A: As in this scenario, if Magician’s Left Hand is already face-up on your field and your opponent activates a Counter Trap Card, the effect of Magician’s Left Hand is applied, so the effect of your opponent’s Solemn Strike is negated and it is destroyed. (In this case, the effect of Performapal Sky Magician resolves normally and it gains 300 ATK.)

Q: There are 2 copies of Magician’s Left Hand face-up on my field. In this situation, my opponent activates Secret Barrel, then chains Just Desserts. In that case, will the effects of each copy of Magician’s Left Hand apply and negate the effects of both Trap Cards?
A: While Magician’s Left Hand is face-up on your field, and you have a Spellcaster-Type monster on your field, its effect will be applied when the first Trap Card or Trap effect that was activated resolves. In this scenario, when your opponent’s Just Desserts resolves, the effects of both copies of Magician’s Left Hand are applied at the same time, so the effect of Just Desserts is negated and it is destroyed. Therefore, the effect of your opponent’s Secret Barrel is not negated, and you take damage normally.

MACR-JP052 Superior Polymerization
Q: I activate Superior Polymerization, and use Predaplant Ophrys Scorpio and Predaplant Darling Cobra on my field as Fusion Materials to Fusion Summon a Starving Venom Fusion Dragon. Afterward, can I activate the effect of Superior Polymerization that Special Summons the Fusion Material monsters used for the Fusion Summon by banishing it from my Graveyard?
A: In this scenario, if the Predaplant Ophrys Scorpio and Predaplant Darling Cobra that were used as Fusion Materials for the effect of Superior Polymerization are in your Graveyard, they are not 2 non-Token DARK monsters on the field, so they are not the correct Fusion Materials for Starving Venom Fusion Dragon. Therefore, if Starving Venom Fusion Dragon was Fusion Summoned with the effect of Superior Polymerization, the second effect of Superior Polymerization cannot be activated.

Crow and banishes Edge Imp Sabres from my Graveyard, how does the effect resolve?
A: The effect of Superior Polymerization activated from the Graveyard is an effect that Special Summons all of the Fusion Materials used for the Fusion Summon performed when Superior Polymerization resolved. Therefore, in this scenario, if your opponent chained the effect of D.D. Crow and banished one of those Fusion Materials from the Graveyard, the effect is not applied. Will the effect of Dragonic Diagram that prevents “True Draco” monsters from being destroyed by battle once per turn apply to both my opponent’s Dinomite Knuckle, the True Dracofighter and my Ignis Heat, the True Dracowarrior?
A: The effect of Dragonic Diagram that prevents “True Draco” monsters from being destroyed by battle once per turn applies to both players’ “True Draco” monsters. (Therefore, the effect is applied not only to your Ignis Heat, the True Dracowarrior, but also your opponent’s Dinomite Knuckle, the True Dracofighter.)

In this situation, if I activate the effect of Succession of the True Draco that draws cards, but my opponent chains The Transmigration Prophecy and returns both Majesty Maiden, the True Dracomage and Revival of the True King to my Deck, how many cards do I draw?
A: In this scenario, since Majesty Maiden, the True Dracomage and Revival of the True King were sent from the field to the Graveyard this turn, 2 “True Draco” card types were sent from the field to the Graveyard this turn. When resolving the effect of Succession of the True Draco, even if a “True Draco” card type is no longer in your Graveyard, the number of cards you draw does not change. In the Battle Step of this Battle Phase, if I then activate the second effect of Sea evolution of the Phantasmagoric Dragon by banishing it from my Graveyard, and equip Mystery Shell Dragon with a Spiral Wave of the Phantasmagoric Dragon, can I activate the effect of Spiral Wave of the Phantasmagoric Dragon during the End Step of this Battle Phase?
A: The effect of Spiral Wave of the Phantasmagoric Dragon activates during the End Step of the Battle Phase in which the equipped monster battled. In this scenario, since Mystery Shell Dragon did not battle while it was the equipped monster, you cannot activate the effect of Spiral Wave of the Phantasmagoric Dragon during the End Step.

Q: A Spiral Serpent equipped with Spiral Wave of the Phantasmagoric Dragon battles an opponent’s monster. If my opponent has no cards in their hand, can I activate the effect of Spiral Wave of the Phantasmagoric Dragon during the End Step of this Battle Phase?
A: As in this scenario, as long as the monster equipped with Spiral Wave of the Phantasmagoric Dragon battled, you can activate its effect during the End Step of this Battle Phase even if your opponent has no cards in their hand. In that case, the effect Special Summons a Spiral, the Phantasmagoric Dragon from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard and equips it with Spiral Wave of the Phantasmagoric Dragon, then finishes resolving.

MACR-JP062 B.E.F. Zelos
Q: When I activate B.E.F. Zelos, if I chain Call of the Haunted and Special Summon a B.E.S. Crystal Core from my Graveyard, will the effect of B.E.F. Zelos that places a counter on that monster activate?
A: In this scenario, since a “B.E.S.” monster was Special Summoned to your field before B.E.F. Zelos resolved, its effect that places a counter on that monster does not activate. (Also note, whether or not you resolved the effect of adding a Boss Rush to your hand does not change the outcome.)

Q: Skill Drain is face-up on my opponent’s field. In this situation, if I activate Monster Reborn and Special Summon a B.E.S. Big Core from my Graveyard, will the effect of B.E.F. Zelos place a counter on it?
A: Even in this scenario, since a “B.E.S.” monster was Normal or Special Summoned to your field, the effect of B.E.F. Zelos activates. However, since the effects of B.E.S. Big Core are negated by Skill Drain, it cannot hold counters from its own effect. In this case, the effect of B.E.F. Zelos does not apply.

MACR-JP063 Duelist Alliance
Q: Can I add Iris Magician from my Deck to my hand with the effect of Duelist Alliance?

MACR-JP064 Revolving Stage
Q: If there are already cards face-up (or Set) in the Field Zones, can Revolving Stage be activated?
A: Even if there are already cards present in either player’s Field Zone, you can activate Revolving Stage. In that case, when the effect Sets 2 Field Spell Cards with different names from your Deck, any cards that were already in the Field Zones are sent to the Graveyard.

Q: If there is a Field Spell Card(s) in the Field Zones that was Set by the effect of Revolving Stage, can another copy of Revolving Stage be activated?
A: While there is a Field Spell Card(s) in the Field Zones that was Set by the effect of Revolving Stage, neither player can activate or Set new Field Spell Cards, so neither player can activate another copy of Revolving Stage.

Q: When resolving the effect of Revolving Stage and Setting 2 Field Spell Cards from my Deck, can I choose A Legendary Ocean and Pacifis, the Phantasmagoric City?
A: A Legendary Ocean and Pacifis, the Phantasmagoric City are both always treated as being named “Umi”. Since the effect of Revolving Stage must Set 2 Field Spell Cards with different names, you cannot choose both A Legendary Ocean and Pacifis, the Phantasmagoric City. Also, if there are no other Field Spell Cards in your Deck other than A Legendary Ocean and Pacifis, the Phantasmagoric City, you cannot activate Revolving Stage.

MACR-JP065 Farewell
Q: During my opponent’s Battle Phase, if there are no face-up monsters on the field, can I activate Farewell?
A: Even if there are no face-up monsters on the field, you can activate Farewell during your opponent’s Battle Phase. In that case, the effect that negates the effects of monsters currently on the field is not applied, so only the part of the effect that ends the Battle Phase resolves.

In that case, the effect that negates the effects of monsters currently on the field is not applied, so only the part of the effect that ends the Battle Phase resolves.

MACR-JP066 The Phantom Knights of Lost Vambrace
Q: Can I activate The Phantom Knights of Lost Vambrace targeting a Level 2 monster?
A: You can activate The Phantom Knights of Lost Vambrace targeting a Level 2 monster. In that case, the effects that decrease the targeted monster’s ATK by 600 and prevent “The Phantom Knights” monsters on your field from being destroyed by battle will apply, but not the part of the effect that makes the targeted monster a Level 2 monster. Even so, The Phantom Knights of Lost Vambrace will then be Special Summoned as a Normal Monster.

Q: Can I activate The Phantom Knights of Lost Vambrace targeting an Elemental HERO Wildheart?
A: You can activate The Phantom Knights of Lost Vambrace targeting an Elemental HERO Wildheart. In that case, since Elemental HERO Wildheart is unaffected by Trap effects, it does not lose 600 ATK or become Level 2, but the part of the effect that prevents “The Phantom Knights” monsters on your field from being destroyed by battle will apply normally. Furthermore, The Phantom Knights of Lost Vambrace will then be Special Summoned as a Normal Monster.

A: After the effect of The Phantom Knights of Lost Vambrace is applied, “The Phantom Knights” monsters that were on your field when the effect resolved, as well as those that become face-up afterward, cannot be destroyed by battle this turn.

Q: I activate The Phantom Knights of Lost Vambrace targeting The Phantom Knights of Cloven Helm. If my opponent chains Compulsory Evacuation Device and returns The Phantom Knights of Cloven Helm to the hand, how does the effect of The Phantom Knights of Lost Vambrace resolve?
A: As in this scenario, if the monster targeted by The Phantom Knights of Lost Vambrace is no longer on the field when the card resolves, its effects are not applied. (None of the effects are applied, and The Phantom Knights of Lost Vambrace is sent to the Graveyard after it resolves.)

Q: I activate The Phantom Knights of Lost Vambrace targeting The Phantom Knights of Fragile Armor. If my opponent chains Book of Moon and changes The Phantom Knights of Fragile Armor to face-down Defense Position, how does the effect of The Phantom Knights of Lost Vambrace resolve?
A: As in this scenario, if the monster targeted by The Phantom Knights of Lost Vambrace is in face-down Defense Position when the card resolves, its effects are not applied. (None of the effects are applied, and The Phantom Knights of Lost Vambrace is sent to the Graveyard after it resolves.)

Q: I activated The Phantom Knights of Lost Vambrace this turn targeting The Phantom Knights of Fragile Armor, and applied its effects. Afterward, if Book of Moon is activated and changes The Phantom Knights of Fragile Armor to face-down Defense Position, what happens to the applied effects?
A: As in this scenario, if the monster affected by the effects of The Phantom Knights of Lost Vambrace is changed to face-down Defense Position, it no longer loses 600 ATK and is no longer treated as a Level 2 monster, but the part of the effect that prevents “The Phantom Knights” monsters on your field from being destroyed by battle will continue to apply for the rest of this turn. Also note that if the affected monster is changed to face-down Defense Position, The Phantom Knights of Lost Vambrace continues to be treated as a Normal Monster.

Q: The Phantom Knights of Wrong Magnet Ring was Special Summoned as an Effect Monster by its own effect. Afterward, if Book of Moon is activated and changes The Phantom Knights of Wrong Magnet Ring to face-down Defense Position, it is still considered an Effect Monster?
A: After becoming an Effect Monster by its own effect, if The Phantom Knights of Wrong Magnet Ring is changed to face-down Defense Position, it is still considered an Effect Monster. (Afterward, if The Phantom Knights of Wrong Magnet Ring is flipped face-up again, you can still activate its effect that draws 2 cards.)

Q: D/D Savant Kepler and D/D Savant Galilei are in my Pendulum Zones, and the effect of Dark Contract with the Eternal Darkness is applying. In this case, is the effect applied to a monster such as Ancient Gear Chaos Giant that is unaffected by Spell/Trap effects?
A: The effect of Dark Contract with the Eternal Darkness is not an effect applied to monsters on the field. Thus, your opponent still cannot Tribute an Ancient Gear Chaos Giant for a Tribute Summon, nor use it as Fusion, Synchro, or Xyz Material for a Summon.

Q: When activating the effect of a “Zoodiac” Xyz Monster by detaching Xyz Materials, if I apply the effect of my face-up Xiangke of the Zoodiac, can I detach Xyz Materials from a face-down Defense Position monster instead?
A: When activating the effect of a “Zoodiac” Xyz Monster by detaching Xyz Materials, if you apply the effect of Xiangke of the Zoodiac, you can only detach Xyz Materials from face-up Xyz Monsters instead. If there are no other face-up Xyz Monsters on your field, the effect of Xiangke of the Zoodiac cannot be applied, and you can activate the effect of your “Zoodiac” Xyz Monsters by detaching Xyz Materials from themselves normally.

If I activate a Set Xiangke of the Zoodiac, but chain the effect of Zoodiac Drancia that destroys another card on the field, can I apply the effect of Xiangke of the Zoodiac and detach an Xyz Material from another Xyz Monster instead?
A: The effect of Xiangke of the Zoodiac can only be applied once the card itself has resolved. MACR-JP074 Supremacy of the Phantasmagoric Dragon
Q: Can I activate Supremacy of the Phantasmagoric Dragon by targeting a Spiral, the Phantasmagoric Dragon that is not currently equipped with any Equip Spell Cards?

A: As in this scenario, if the effect of Supremacy of the Phantasmagoric Dragon was applied to a Spiral, the Phantasmagoric Dragon, and that monster destroyed an opponent’s copy of The Phantom Knights of Wrong Magnet Ring by battle, it counts as 1 Effect Monster destroyed by battle for the effect of Supremacy of the Phantasmagoric Dragon.

A: As in this scenario, if the effect of Supremacy of the Phantasmagoric Dragon was applied to a Spiral, the Phantasmagoric Dragon, and that monster destroyed an opponent’s Gemini monster treated as a Normal Monster, it will not count as an Effect Monster destroyed by battle for the effect of Supremacy of the Phantasmagoric Dragon.

After the effect resolves, if Book of Moon is activated and changes that Spiral, the Phantasmagoric Dragon to face-down Defense Position, what happens to the applied effect of Supremacy of the Phantasmagoric Dragon?
A: After the effect of Supremacy of the Phantasmagoric Dragon has resolved, if the affected Spiral, the Phantasmagoric Dragon is changed to face-down Defense Position, the effect is no longer applied. (For example, even if that monster had destroyed 2 of your opponent’s Effect Monsters by battle while equipped with 3 different “Phantasmagoric Dragon” Equip Spell Cards, and then destroys a third after it is flipped face-up and equipped again, you do not automatically win the Duel.)

Afterward, if Spiral, the Phantasmagoric Dragon is once again equipped with a Spiral Wave of the Phantasmagoric Dragon so that it is equipped with 3 different “Phantasmagoric Dragon” Equip Spell Cards, and destroys an opponent’s Effect Monster by battle, it counts as the second Effect Monster destroyed by battle for the effect of Supremacy of the Phantasmagoric Dragon. MACR-JP075 Cradle of the Destruction Swordsman
Q: A Buster Dragon is Special Summoned from the Extra Deck with the effect of Cradle of the Destruction Swordsman, then afterward destroyed and sent to the Graveyard. If I then activate a second copy of Cradle of the Destruction Swordsman, can I Special Summon that Buster Dragon from my Graveyard?
A: A Buster Dragon Special Summoned from the Extra Deck by the effect of Cradle of the Destruction Swordsman is not treated as being properly Special Summoned. Therefore, if a second copy of Cradle of the Destruction Swordsman is activated after that Buster Dragon has been sent to the Graveyard, that copy cannot be Special Summoned. (In this scenario, if you do not have another Buster Dragon to Special Summon, either in your Extra Deck or one that was previously Synchro Summoned and then sent to the Graveyard, you cannot activate the second copy of Cradle of the Destruction Swordsman.)

Q: I activate the second effect of Cradle of the Destruction Swordsman by banishing it from my Graveyard. During this turn, if I Normal Summon a new copy of Buster Whelp of the Destruction Swordsman, can it be destroyed by battle or card effects?
A: The effect of Cradle of the Destruction Swordsman is applied not only to “Destruction Sword” cards on your field when the effect resolves, but also those that become face-up afterward. Therefore, in this scenario, since the newly Summoned Buster Whelp of the Destruction Swordsman is a “Destruction Sword” card, it is not destroyed by card effects.

Q: I activate the second effect of Cradle of the Destruction Swordsman by banishing it from my Graveyard. During this turn, if my face-down Defense Position Wizard Buster Destruction Sword would be destroyed by battle or card effects, will the effect of Cradle of the Destruction Swordsman apply?
A: The effect of Cradle of the Destruction Swordsman activated from the Graveyard is applied not only to “Destruction Sword” cards on your field when the effect resolves, but also those that become face-up afterward. In this scenario, if a face-down Defense Position Wizard Buster Destruction Sword is attacked by an opponent’s monster, since it would be destroyed by battle after it is flipped face-up, it is not destroyed due to the effect of Cradle of the Destruction Swordsman. However, if a face-down Defense Position Wizard Buster Destruction Sword would be destroyed by a card effect, the effect of Cradle of the Destruction Swordsman is not applied, so Wizard Buster Destruction Sword is destroyed normally.

Thus, even if the effect of Cradle of the Destruction Swordsman is applying, Buster Blader, the Destruction Swordmaster can be destroyed by battle and card effects.

Q: I activate Star Crusade of the Zefra, targeting a Zefratorah Grammaton on my field and a Tierra, Goddess of Rebirth on my opponent’s field. If Compulsory Evacuation Device is chained, and either of the two targeted cards leaves the field, how does the effect of Star Crusade of the Zefra resolve?
A: When resolving Star Crusade of the Zefra, even if one of the two targeted cards is no longer on the field, the remaining targeted card is destroyed normally.

Q: I activate the second effect of Secluded Ethereal Wyrmfall, sending a Metaphys Armed Dragon from my hand and a True King Lithosazim, the Disaster from my Monster Zone to the Graveyard. If my opponent chains the effect of their D.D. Crow and banishes True King Lithosazim, the Disaster from my Graveyard, how does the effect of Secluded Ethereal Wyrmfall resolve?
A: The effect of Secluded Ethereal Wyrmfall draws cards equal to the number of Wyrm-Type monsters sent to the Graveyard to activate it +1. Even if one of the Wyrm-Type monsters sent to the Graveyard as the cost to activate that effect is no longer in the Graveyard when the effect resolves, the number of cards you draw does not change. (In this scenario, since you sent 2 Wyrm-Type monsters to the Graveyard, you draw 3 cards.)

MACR-JP079 Neverending Nightmare
Q: Each player has their own copy of Neverending Nightmare face-up in their Spell & Trap Zone. If I activate the effect of my copy of Neverending Nightmare, can my opponent chain the effect of theirs?
A: The restriction that prevents the effect of Neverending Nightmare from being activated more than once on the same Chain will prevent a second copy from chaining its effect to the first, but applies separately to each player. Therefore, when you activate the effect of Neverending Nightmare, your opponent can chain the effect of theirs. (Neither player can activate the effect further in the Chain after that.)

Q: Twin Twisters is chained to Fissure, and as a result of the Chain resolving, 2 Spell/Trap Cards and 1 monster are destroyed. If I activate Diamond Duston at this time, how does its effect resolve?
A: In this scenario, since Diamond Duston is activating in response to a card being destroyed by Fissure, you can only Special Summon “Duston” monsters from your Deck equal to the number of cards destroyed by Fissure (1). (Since Twin Twisters was activated at Chain Link 2, the number of cards it destroyed is not included.)
