Spoopy creppy ghosties just in time for Halloween.
PHNI-JP030 Genroukan no Shisha / Envoy of the Wax State
Illusion/Effect, FIRE, Level 3, ATK 800, DEF 1800
You can only use the 1st effect of this card’s name once per turn.
(1) When an opponent’s monster declares an attack: You can Special Summon this card from your hand.
(2) If this card battles a monster, neither can be destroyed by that battle.
(3) At the end of your opponent’s Battle Phase: You can make all Attack Position monsters your opponent currently controls unable to change their battle position, be used as material for a Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, or Link Summon, also have their effects negated until the start of their next Battle Phase.
TL note: The name could be based on “Genrou” (written as 元老), which is a general name for a group of wise, elderly men. The “kan” is a manor or similar, so this monster would be an envoy from a manor where someone of high authority/importance lives. “Genrou”, however, is written as “illusion” + “wax”.
PHNI-JP033 Mokomokko / Fluffyfluff
Illusion/Flip/Effect, WATER, Lv 1, ATK 300, DEF 300
You can only use the 2nd and 3rd effect of this card’s name each once per turn.
(1) If this card battles a monster, neither can be destroyed by that battle.
(2) During your Main Phase: You can change this card to face-down Defense Position.
(3) FLIP: Draw 1 card.
PHNI-JP035 Jongleurghoul no Genjutsushi / Illusionist of Jongleurghoul
Illusion/Normal, DARK, Lv 4, ATK 2000, DEF 0
A street performer skilled in getting the crowds excited. Distracts through songs and dances and attacks using strange moves. The moment those eyes start spinning, that’s a sign of danger, so make sure to hurry up and escape!

Isn’t it Jongleur? As in the french dancers.
I’m sure it’s a pun.
Illusionist of Jongulgur is the first Illusion monster that can be destroyed by battle. I also like how it looks like its popping out of the card
That’s truly a wonderful way to distinguish it from the other illusion monsters, and it makes SENSE. Those can’t destroy or be destroyed in battle because, you know, they are illusions. This can instead because it’s a sort of MATERIALIZED illusion, like solid light.
Envoy of the Wax is scary AF. Basically the opponent can’t go to battle so long as they know you have this in hand and don’t have either a hand/omni-negate or a quick effect removal they can activate in the battle phase.
Envoy of the Wax State seems like a very good surprise wall + stun card. The lockdown effect not only protects your next turn from disruption, but it could potentially force your opponent to waste their next turn’s Battle Phase, since their monsters will still be locked down in their Main Phase 1. If you’ve still got the Envoy on the field, your opponent can prevent it from reapplying by changing their monsters to Defense Position – unless of course they’re Link Monsters!
Fluffyfluff is a generally better version of Mahjong Munia Maidens. Not much to say about it.
Ritual decks: Pfft, ’tis but a scratch.
Amazing artworks, trash cards
Wax is very gimmicky. Works best against in Stall/Grind decks that like to summon a lot(Sky Striker, Salad, Etc.) But inherintly useless against established boards that has ways to remove said cards. Its best use is in Stall Decks as usual. Its not Level 2 lol, prolly to avoid it in Runick. Other is gimmicky and 1 is a new normal monster in the Illusionist type.
Meh, I just banish Kaleido chick and that Wax state becomes useless.
What’s the point of such a dumb comment? How should a niche effect of a niche card of a niche archetype determine how good a new card is?
A normal Illusion.. i hope Jongleurghoul is a material of new Illusion Fusion monster in the future, like how Imaginary Actor is the main material of Metarion cards in Sevens
I don’t know whay you are referring to but I thought something similar, it’d be cool to have a fusion monster playable by Chimera that requires a vanilla.
https://yugipedia.com/wiki/Metarion
Basically these Cyborg-type Fusion monsters using a normal monster, Imaginary Actor, as their main material very cool series
Des Lacooda but good (it’s still not good)
I found it funny when I saw Jonglerghoul’s art. Konami still tries to make a design of card that appears out of their border.
Sir, I’ll need you to go back inside the frame.
