It’s either Duel Monsters, ZEXAL, or VRAINS, and “legacy” indicates Duel Monsters more than anything. My guess is a Blue-Eyes cover card.

Yugioh players see the word burst, stream, destruction, or white and instantly go Blue Eyes! Not that they’ve been wrong yet

The name reminds me of Legacy of Darkness, a set based on the Virtual World from DM. So I’m betting on Big Five, Gozaburo (Exodia Necross?) and/or Noah cards, which is consistent with the covers with villains in series 12. Hopefully they’ll keep the trend of Ritual update and make support around Shinato or the original Five-Headed Dragon, and also Spirit monsters. It’ll probably come with some Kaiba cards just cause lore.

    My guess is Zexal

Oh yes time to start making predictions on the cover card based on the name its usually something used by a character in one of the six shows usually a MC, main villain, rival etc so anything one of them used. Your never gonna see a cover card on a code set that wasn’t used by one of the people listed above so it’ll never be something like lightsworns or i pray it’s not blue eyes bc Japan is getting a structure deck and they just got support in battle of chaos. And one thing I learned about these core sets is they never revisit the same deck twice in any pack so since we already got blue eyes in an earlier pack it’s highly unlikely that we’ll get it again In this pack. Now i could be wrong which I pray im not bc I don’t want blue eyes to get another 10 or so cards

My immediate thought is Gandora, given the name and that we didn’t get any little Yugi support in series 11 and the card is so iconic and emblematic of his character growth.

It should be Zexal. DUNE takes 5D’s and the cover is a monster from the protagonist, also note that it’s name is derived from a song more than a set. AGOV takes ARC-V and covering it is a monster from the protagonist, albeit in a new way, I have no clue on the trivia of it’s name. PHNI takes GX, covering it there’s like AGOV, a new way of seeing a monster from the protagonist, and the name reference is obvious. Then this set comes… I see the pattern from 3 to 5 to 2 to (4?) and all being prota’s monsters. But I fail to see the reference, unless this is an isolated reference to Lightsworns as Cybernetic Horizon was in for Cybernetic Revolution

The rival/villain that fits the name. Probably one of the villains in DM. My guess is Bakura. Even though I am still hoping that was AI so I can get my @ignister supports.

I’m getting Light of Destruction vibes. I called Arcana Force for Animation Chronicles or Light Legendary Duelist, but being fair, they need more than 8 new cards. I’m also calling Lightsworn support.
Another note, did we wrap up the Visas storyline? They gave us a crumb of pendulum and then dropped the strategy for Bellestar mommy (not that we can’t do 2 stories at once)

Its MOST LIKELY DARK MAGICIAN/BUSTER BLADER/GAIA/BEWD SUPPORT, THATS THE ONE WE DIDNT GET IT. WE ALREADY GOT GX, ZEXAL, 5DS, ARC V, & VRAINS.

DO YOUR HOMEWORK. ITS DARK MAGICIAN SUPPORT. WE GOT THE NEW STRUCTURE DECK ON THE WAY THAT IS BEWD AND DM. ALSO THE MEGATINS GOT DM AND BEWD SUPPORT. AGAIN, YOUR HOMEWORK.

What are you talking about? We only got 5Ds, Arc-V and GX. And the last two sets have been named after major villains. Dark Magician/Buster Bader/Gaia/BEWD don’t come from villains. I wouldn’t be surprised if this set uses Don Thousand’s Numeron for its mascot theme.

Well its defnitely a Yugioh main character archtype.
Legacy is too obvious while Destruction can mean a lot.
Zexal might have a support card since we got Arc-V and 5D’s support previously but the name is a bit too far from that.

Am I stupid for thinking this is going to be an “updated” version of Light of Destruction, similar to how Phantom Nightmare is for Phantom Darkness?

You’re not stupid, but the latest series have been changing the era focus from booster to booster, so it’s unlikely we’re getting 2 of the same (GX) in a row. And if you ask me, I believe the core word here is “Legacy”, and it gives me vibes of Legacy of Darkness, a really old set that is a combination of 2 from 2001, based on characters that haven’t been visited in that much time.

There are several archetypes that Konami should launch supports for, among these archetypes I could mention here Graydle, Kozmo, Yang Zing and Arkana Force

It’s obviously a pun with Light of Destruction, just weird if that’s the case? Two GX boosters in a row.

I hope there is some on theme ancient gear support like the ancient gear hunting hound fusion monsters, a few new Spell’s and Trap’s, and maybe some new main deck search engines that could help get the ancient gear archetype to some sub rouge level. And if they do release some new support I hope they come up with something different to most common monsters, create something different like a ursagryph a griffin type monster that has the head, claws, and wings of a owl with the body of a bear with a dragons tail, a ancient gear monster based on that in my opinion would be quite different and something I would like to see one day.
