It’s funny that we keep calling him Manabu when we already know his Dub’s Name: Maddox.
Also, Zuwijo following in Luke’s footsteps to face a major Antagonist (along with Maddox. Gavin might never…)
Manabu is just a better name
Maddox it’s an awful name, plus nobody wants to call characters for his dub name anymore
Nobody watches dubbed Yugioh anymore and we talk here about summary of episode that will be aired in Japan.
I beg to differ.
Translated articles use Japanese names for characters, TCG names for cards
who tf is Maddox? Is he some kind of secret villain in Go Rush?
Maddox is the dub name of Manabu Sogetsu
Ritual Shokan
Last duel for both Zuwijo and Maddox and based on what we saw they are primed to lose
who tf is Maddox? Is he some kind of secret villain in Go Rush?
3 more episodes and Rush duel anime is no more!!! The nightmare is finally over!
i now want them to make a 3rd show specifically just to spite you and get you to waste another 3 years of your life whinning about it.
Finally🙌
@Rushbo not gonna happen 😂😂😂. Be happy you got 5 years of your slop. It was way longer than you deserved. Can’t wait to watch GX remastered and the new Animation Chronicles!!
We still have no idea what will land in that time slot so lol, lmao. GX remaster is late-night show that will be streamed online at 7:00 am and OCG stories will be once per month thing.
As far as we know we may get surprise YGO 9 and obviously it will be Rush Duels because OCG/TCG is clusterf*ck not suitable for writing anime.
lil bro yapping like he isn’t going to whinning about the next show the second it does anything different like he’s been doing since 2011.
literally some of the best writing ygo has had, but it doesn’t have blatant sexism so it doesn’t pass the shush smell test i guess.
Calling Rush a “nightmare” when it hasn’t done anything to you personally and brings countless people happiness is a stretch.
are we getting the 9th series of yugioh a week later after Go Rush ended
i’m so glad go rush specifically is over so they can make a better show that isn’t busy huffing sevens’ farts instead of exploring its own S-tier characters/premise arc-v style
Is this guy ban worry, the last guy who talked poorly of Rush Duels to the point Rush Duel fans complained on the Ygorg discord over his comments got banned…
@Namesky Oh come now, you can’t have that level of delusion. If you think an empty timeslot will save you’re dying anime then that’s just really sad.
at least they understand how replying works lol
*your
Once again, the plot points that make no sense. god dammit Japan.
I miss the days when the Yugioh anime had some structure, and wasn’t pulling an act of that guy who randomly turns down streets without using his turn signals in order to lose imaginary pursuers.
what a nonsensical metaphor.
bad attempts at wit aside, youve got those nostalgia googles on tight huh?
DM, especially its filler, was packed to the brim with out of nowhere plot convenience and random story direction.
GX was literally the style of story telling as Go Rush for 104 episodes.
5Ds was lambasted for its weird s2 pivot into more episodic adventures and strange pivots with characterization
I know you didn’t forget Arc-V spending 50+ episodes of its run on a Synchro exclusive tournament arc.
and Vrains stuffed the epilogue of its story into Duel Links due to not having the run time to have it in the show.
look I get it, new thing scary, but you don’t have to lie to yourself for that. “I don’t like Rush duel anime seasons because they feel too different from what I like.” its a super simple statement that doesn’t require you to put a giant dunce hat on.
There’s a difference between random story direction and somehow pulling time and space travel out of the character’s ass.
I just feel like the plot consistency just breaks down in the second half.
Like I’ve fully expecting a Duel, where right in the middle, one character pulls out a transformation belt and turns into the Kamen Rider while the opponent turned out to be a robot the whole time and they have to put the duel on the hold so they can rush off and become the Super Sentai’s latest giant robo.
no.
I know what the problem is. At the end of RUSH, they just added in time travel for no apparent reason, with no real relevance or build up for it. Like E’Rah in the Zexal Manga or Necron in FF9. Then Go RUSH was ok at first, but then Yuamu and her sudden intent to recreate Otes, and then all of a sudden time travel, and now the Sengoku period not only has modern duel discs but somehow they’re on their way to the moon. It reminds me too much of the Digimon gen 1 remake, where they tried to make a storyline that crammed 100+ episodes into a 21 episode season. Its cramming and having 1 or more Deus Ex Machina thrown in to pull the story along instead of letting the story progress.
{spoilers for all of go rush} I will say while I don’t agree with the assessment that this is any different than past plot confusions in previous shows, I don’t disagree with the assessment you’ve put about the show’s writing in this later half.
The first two seasons did a really good job of everything feeling like a natural evolution of previous actions. S1 starts with Yudias wanting to end a war we conclude on a battle to decide how that war will be waged. S2 starts on the idea of “how much has Yuga’s actions affected the past?” we end on returning him to the past. S3 however has felt really unfocused as its had the unenviable problem of needing to actually answer the lingering questions: to which it has chosen just not to (or to frontload all of it into the last 2 episodes unceremoniously)
it definitely has been a lot of anticlimax to every problem s3 presented and i am worried about its conclusion because of that.
Wasn’t the moon a major plotline in Yugioh Sevens?
