Episode 146: 明日待ちきれない法師 – Ashita Machikirenai Hōshi
(The Monk Who Can’t Wait Until Tomorrow)
Rumor has it that a giant eight-foot-tall yokai is terrorizing children in the nearby village. Yudias and co. head to the beach in order to search for the yokai. There, they encounter the eight-foot-tall lady, Oka Sur Ferko. Ferko, who detests samurai, mistakes Yuhi for a samurai, so she challenges him to a Duel!

NOTE 1: Lady Eight Feet Tall, or Hasshaku-sama in Japanese, is a popular urban legend about a freakishly tall ghost who preys on children.
NOTE 2: Ferko’s full name literally translates to “dry surfer.” In other words, a fake surfer who may carry a surfboard but doesn’t actually surf.

And yes, her deck was shown to be the same as Mitsuko’s. But like Hoopko she has her own subset of Agent Miss

No as poc myself I always find ppl wanting diverse skin tones in cardboard as stupid as if they’re forcing companies to meet their stupid needs
Not like we get much stuff based on non-Japanese culture these days anyways in either of the two different formats… cough cough another Asiany dragon deck in the upcoming Deck Build pack…
@Dragnick 3 If you want diversity, go make your own card game, don’t complain about an asian company, with asian designers, taking lots of inspiration from their asian culture.
Anytime someone say “as a *blank* person myself,” they are not that *blank* identifier at all.
…One of the two(ish) best decks in the format right now is based off of an English fantasy series (Alice in Wonderland), the last major storyline archetype (Diabellestar) was *literally* ‘white woman: the deck’, and Mimighouls (the last TCG exclusive archetype before mitsurugi) is based heavily off of DnD.
So I really don’t get where the complaints of there not being non-Japanese influences in yugioh anymore is coming from.
Granted, they could definitely stand to branch out from the more general Anglophone focus that those influences have, but to say that there’s an exclusive focus on Japan in their design is ignoring a lot of cards.
With every episode, I am understanding less and less where the plot is going.
