Or how to use Banishing from the GY effects for fun and profit, with our host, “Giant Rex”.
[Deck Concept]
A “Giant Rex” Deck used at the Duelist Festival 2017.
By banishing “Giant Rex” from the GY, you can Special Summon cards like “Gigantes” and “The Rock Spirit”, while “Giant Rex” Special Summons itself via its own effect, which from there, if you’ve not used up your Normal Summon, you can set up to Special Summon “Missus Radiant” or various Rank 4 Xyz Monsters.
Also, you can pull off the same combo with the effect of “Evilswarm Salamandra” that banishes monsters from the GY.
When there’s “Giant Rex”, “Block Dragon” and 2 or more various EARTH monsters in your GY, you can banish 3 EARTH monsters (including “Giant Rex”) to Special Summon “Block Dragon” in a powerful combo.
By having “Giant Rex” and “Block Dragon” Special Summon themselves, you can Link Summon “Missus Radiant”, and then add “Gigantes” and “The Rock Spirit” to your hand with the effect of “Block Dragon”. And since the effects of “Gigantes” and “The Rock Spirit” banish EARTH monsters from the GY to Special Summon themselves, you’ll lose essentially zero hand while also being able to set up for the Special Summons of powerful monsters such as “Borreload Dragon”.
