Named after Aquarius/Aquarium and the Adriatic Sea (a sea named after the town of Adria, which in turn might mean “Water”
サブテラーマリス・アルラボーン Subterror Malice Alrabone (Subterror Behemoth Dragossuary)
It’s name seems to be based on the Alboran Sea + Bone. The Alboran itself takes its name from the Tunisian Pirate, Al Borani.
サブテラーマリス・リグリアード Subterror Malice Liguriard (Subterror Behemoth Umastryx)
It takes its name from the Ligurian Sea and “Lizard”. Liguria itself is the name of a coastal region of Northern Italy which the Sea takes its name from, and the name itself predates Latin, rendering it unlikely to know what it means.
サブテラーマリス・グライオース Subterror Malice Glaioath (Subterror Behemoth Phospheroglacier)
The card takes its name from the Ionian Sea and Glacier. The Ionian Sea is a sea between southern Italy and Greece that takes its name from Io, a lover of Zeus most well known for turning into a Cow.
サブテラーマリス・ボルティニア Subterror Malice Voltinia (Subterror Behemoth Voltelluric)
It seems to take its name from Bolt/Volt (as in lightning) and the Sea of Sardinia, which is in turn named after an island off of Italy. There seems to be quite a bit of debate over what the name origin for that could be.
サブテラーマリス・ジブラタール Subterror Malice Gibraltar (Subterror Behemoth Stalagmo)
It takes its name from Gibraltar, which itself means Tariq’s Mountain. Tariq himself was a Muslim Commander responsible for conquering central Spain, i.e. Visigoth Hispania.
サブテラーマリス・エルガウスト Subterror Malice Alegeist (Subterror Behemoth Speleogeist)
This card takes its name from Geist (as in Boser Geist, i.e. Evil Spirit) and the Aegean. The Aegean itself seems to have one of those “Lost in the mists” name meanings with various options suggested.
サブテラーマリス・バレスアッシュ Subterror Malice Balesash (Subterror Behemoth Ultramafus)
The this card seems to be named after volcanic ash and the Balearic Islands, which themselves seem to mean “Sling/Launch”, due to the prowess of the inhabitants to slinging.
