Halfway through and they’re just picking up steam!
What is Clash of the TCG WPs?
‘CLASH’ is a new format for my videos, in which I feature a Simulated Tournament: 16 decks enter, best-of-3 matches, with siding. If a strategy loses their match, it is eliminated; win, and it moves on to fight another winner. If you’ve been a long-time reader of the site, this format is a spiritual successor to my previous Creative Deck Strategy Showdown videos, just modernized with a new look-and-feel.
For this Clash, I narrowed it down 16 most-likely-to-be-successful TCG WP archetypes, aka Clash of the TCG WPs. As far as deckbuilding goes, there were no restrictions on only using archetypal cards; however, I tried to stick to a common rule that the primary win condition must aim to utilize the in-theme cards. All decklists are available on Spellbook.life, and direct links will be provided at the end of the article.

Predictions:
A new format and style comes with another new addition – Predictions. To set the stage, I asked some of our YGOrg site contributors to provide their thoughts on who would win each bracket, and I’ve included their predictions below – if you’d like to join in, feel free to add a comment below and it might get added to a future Group post.
- NeoArkadia, Primary News Contributor
- My gut instinct and ship from the hip with Group C is that Tombkeeper Apophis or R.B. Sky Striker will fare the best mostly due to grind utility and grind game, but RBSS depends on how easily it can draw the right Traps. Tombkeeper feels the most stable of the 4 Decks.
- Satchmo, Anime Expert and News Contributor
- My money is on the R.B. Sky Striker Dominus deck. It is tied for the highest suite of non-engine interactions with the Tombkeeper Apophis deck. Dominus cards in particular are incredibly high value non-engine cards, and unlike the Tombkeeper Apophis deck which seems more geared to a control playstyle, the R.B. Engine is incredibly powerful as a midrange strategy in this bracket, with strong end board interactions through its R.B. combos and some high-quality starters & extenders, with the Sky Striker engine increasing the ceiling even further.

- Group C is the Dominus league hot damn. Libromancer feels like it’s using the Libro bodies for too little, but Apophis Primite is just a ridiculous pile in the first place. Material Space Typhoon deck [Materiactor] looks cute too.
- Bolt Spider, Author of our Market Watch articles
- Tombkeeper Apophis will win Group C with how much grind the deck can create.
- Quincymccoy, Resident Deckbuilder and CDP author
- Picking R.B. here; I’ve been playing a lot of R.B. IRL, and it is immensely powerful for how undervalued it has been since release.

Why am I not surprised lol
That’s right,my friends,R.B. is no joke.
As much as I want to call them Really. Bad. they do a lot better than at first glance. Though I am still rooting for Tomb Primite as the coolest and best build.

Sorry for that, my computer lagged and I thought it didn’t send.
