Princess Cups are a tournament that is a part of the Female Duelist Meeting. Female Duelist Meetings are women’s only events where they can learn Yu-Gi-Oh!, play it free style, enter tournaments. All with the intent of encouraging female fans to play and not be off put, intimidated or scared off by rude male fans and social norms and peer pressure. Other companies such as Bushiroad run similar events for female fans, so it’s not just a Konami thing. The industry wants to court more female consumers.
