CDP: Tistina K9, with Chaotic Elements and Miasma Dragon Tistina

Tistina is my winner of the best TCG-WP follow-up support!

    Replays:

    Strategic Summary:

Welcome back for another Creative Deck profile, and today I want to showcase Miasma Dragon Tistina (YGOrg Translation) in all of its glory, as it has truly revolutionized the Tistina strategy. This new Level 10 DARK Aqua can Special Summon itself whenever sent to the GY while any card is in a Field Zone, and when summoned, it tutors any Tistina monster from your Deck. Why is this so important? Well it turns Divine Domain Baatistina (or Fallen of the Tistina) into a full starter for the archetype’s plays, even if your opponent doesn’t have any face-up cards on the field yet. Combine that with both Double Wild and the new Chaotic Elements search Spell, and now the Tistina have everything they need to set the opponent’s board then wipe it.

If all of that doesn’t seem powerful enough to you, let’s talk about the other supporting engines trying to make that ideal gamestate happen. First up is the K9 Engine, led by K9 – #17 Izuna (YGOrg Translation). Frequently spotted across a variety of deckbuilds in the OCG, Izuna can Special Summon itself during a Main Phase in which your opponent activated a monster effect in the hand or GY. That’s pretty much every duel at this point, so when they do, it summons itself, loads the GY with K9 – #ØØ Lupus (YGOrg Translation), which enables an immediate Xyz Summon of either Vallon, the Psychic Skyblaster (YGOrg Translation) – to set an opponent’s monster – or K9 – #17 “Ripper” (YGOrg Translation) – to negate an opponent’s activated monster effect in the hand/GY. If your opponent has summoned multiple times from the Extra Deck, you can even elect to Xyz Summon Super Starslayer TY-PHON, which is my favorite play. Outside of this K9 engine, you’ll also note that I’m running a copy of Veidos the Eruption Dragon of Extinction – it’s another hand Trap that controls the Field Zone, while also being searchable by Chaotic Elements. In a pinch, it can also be summoned to the opponent’s board by destroying your own Field Spell, giving them another face-up card to set with Crystal God Tistina. Unleash the Tistina virus, new and improved with their new Chaotic Elements!

Stop trying to make Tistina happen. It’s not going to happen.

      hmm… deck idea…

considering both work best in defense position, would Ancient Fairy Dragon and Scareclaw work together? I mean you’d probably have to leave out “World of Spirits” to keep your Link monsters alive for more than one turn
