Two Rogue themes, combined into one Deck.

    Strategic Summary:

Welcome back for another CDP, this time venturing a tad further into the competitive territory than I usually do on my channel, while still merging multiple themes together. Today’s build is comprised of both the Odion ‘Tombkeeper’ strategy as well as the Blue-Eyes post-Structure Deck one, and together, they actually cover each other’s weakness quite well. Starting with the Tombkeeper side, we have the fairly standard core of Anubis the Last Judge, The Man with the Mark, and Treasures of the Kings, supported by a select group of the other support cards like 1 copy of Apophis the Serpent and Merciless Scorpion of Serket. This ensures consistent access to the entire Temple of the Kings engine, without sacrificing too much else, if I’m being honest. I’ve also included a sole copy of Defense of the Temple, as this has quickly become one of my favorite tech options in the Tombkeeper strategy, with the ability to remove 2 of your opponent’s monsters from the board when making Divine Scorpion Beast of Serket.

On the other side of the build, I’m also running a fairy standard Blue-Eyes core. 3 Maiden of White and Sage with Eyes of Blue lead the way, with the only variation from the norm being that I’m running 2 copies of Mausoleum of White. This is essential, as to bridge the two archetypes into one cohesive deck, I’m relying upon Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon to bring out Ancient Fairy Dragon, destroy the initial Mausoleum searched with Spirit with Eyes of Blue, and turn that into Treasures of the Kings. To go the other direction, simply turn your Level 4 Spellcaster, The Man with the Mark, into Spirit with Eyes of Blue, and you have your access to the Blue-Eyes side. Unfortunately, this does mean that the Extra Deck space is a tiny bit cramped, so no room for Crimson Dragon shenanigans, but this deck more than makes up for it with the control offered by Apophis the Swamp Deity, which will always be able to negate an opponent’s card, since you’re more likely than not going to have True Light on the field! Hope you enjoyed today’s rogue deck and catch you next time with something… Angry.
