Strategic Summary:
With the help of new support cards from Blazing Vortex, the Metalfoes Pendulum Theme has uncovered some new monsters and spells to put to good use. The Metalfoes FIRE/Psychic theme revolves around destruction, as most of the Pendulum effects of the theme allows you to destroy another face-up card you control to set one of their Spell/Trap support cards from the deck. The theme also moonlights as a Fusion archetype, and has one of the first non-anime-originating Fusion/Pendulum monsters with the arrival of Parametalfoes Azothles (YGOrg Translation)! The new support offers a ton of benefits for the theme, but none more than Metalfoes Vanisher (YGOrg Translation), a new Level 9 Pendulum that synergizes with your other Metalfoes cards to banish a monster from your opponent’s field or GY. The key to success with this archetype is endless card advantage – not only from the pendulum mechanic itself, but also the sheer recyclability of all of its support cards! Truly fitting for a theme based around metal and alchemic transmutations. Don’t just fall down, remount your motorcycle and ride off with the Metalfoes!
