@Ignister Cyberse w/Maliss Engine [CDP] [Rogue]

Welcome back for another CDP, and this time I’m aiming to present a twist on the classic pairing of the @Ignister archetype with whatever remains of the Maliss archetype, post-brushes with the F/L list. Because instead of maxing out on the Maliss, I’m instead maxing out more on the @Ignister stuff, as inspired by one of the great folks at my locals who has defeated me far too many times with something similar to this concept. Let’s talk why – first off, the Maliss cards have well overstayed their welcome in the meta, and quite frankly, I’m surprised we’re still allowed as many copies as we are. From Maliss <P> Dormouse accessing the other monsters, Maliss <P> White Rabbit accessing the Traps, and all three Links doing crazy things, this theme has serious power. And it is all just a Gold Sarcophagus, Backup @Ignister, or full Ignister combo away.

In most Maliss/Ignister builds I’ve seen, that’s the play – use the Ignister support for generic Cyberse cards to serve as the bridge between engine. In here, I’m instead using the Ignister support to build out a solid board of their own, add a bit of lockdown, then end the ideal turn going into the Maliss suite as a cherry on top. For starters, Achichi @Ignister or Pikari @Ignister kicks off your plays, as either turns into Dark Infant @Ignister, tutors Ignister A.I.Land, and kickstarts your plays. One avenue of Cyberse play is to leverage A.I. Connect to reveal a DARK, summon it, then tutor a non-Dark Cyberse. This is perfect for if you draw into a Maliss monster. If you don’t, simply Link climb your way into Firewall Dragon Darkfluid – Neo Tempest Terahertz to send any Cyberse monster from your Deck or Extra Deck to the GY, including either Knightmare Corruptor Iblee or a Maliss monster – then with the existence of Wizard @Ignister, you can summon back either! That’s what makes this deck so powerful – even if your opponent drops a Mulcharmy on you, you’ll still be able to throw down Iblee, which can be quite the hurdle for many opponent’s to overcome. Throw down the Firewall, with the help of the @Ignisters and Maliss!
