This burn deck ROCKS!

Strategic Summary:
Today’s CDP features the merging of two ill-supported types, Pyro and Rock, as the Gem-Knight and Volcanic archetypes take on prime-time. The Gem-Knight archetype is known for its fusion capabilities, featuring the first Fusion Spell to indefinitely return back to the hand, Gem-Knight Fusion. Otherwise, this archetype consists of Fusion Monsters that require either a Gem-Knight monster and a monster of a specific type, or a specific Normal Gem-Knight monster and any other Gem-Knight monster. For example, Gem-Knight Citrine can be made with a Gem-Knight and any Pyro, but Gem-Knight Ruby requires Gem-Knight Garnet and another Gem-Knight. The last wave of legacy support for the Gem-Knights introduced Scatter Fusion, a Continuous Spell that sends Fusion materials from the Deck to the GY to Fusion Summon a non-Rock Gem-Knight monster, and Gem-Knight Quartz, an Earth Fairy to tutor any Fusion Continuous Spell. However, both of these require your opponent to control a monster, which is where the first synergy with Volcanic comes in.
You see, some of the new Volcanic Support cards, such as Fire Ejection (YGOrg Translation) or Volcanic Trooper (YGOrg Translation), can be used to Special Summon 1 Bomb Token to the opponent’s field. This is key to unlocking your Gem-Knight’s Fusion abilities, but it also will contribute to your win condition of effect damage, since the Token will count as another Special Summoned monster when you use the effect of Gem-Knight Lady Lapis Lazuli to burn the opponent for 500 damage for each Special Summoned monster on the field. Remember, you can even combine Lady Lapis with Gem-Knight Master Diamond, which will copy Lady Lapis’ effect to burn again for that same amount, so that’s a ton of burn damage off the top. Throw in a Volcanic Emperor (YGOrg Translation), which can banish any Pyro monsters including your Pyro Gem-Knights like Citree, Ruby, and Garnet, and you can easily strike for game via burn damage in a single turn. Even if you just slightly miss your OTK, Emperor will tutor either Volcanic Emission (YGOrg Translation) or Volcanic Inferno (YGOrg Translation), each of which can be used to burn the opponent for a bit more damage. Shine with a Brilliant Spark with the Unexpected combination of Gem-Knights and Volcanics!
