Strategic Summary:
The Floral Knights have finally come to the game, and Sherry’s support offers quite a unique package for the game. Sherry LeBlanc’s new support cards will be split across two different sets in the OCG, but today I’m combining them into one cohesive strategy. It all starts with Horse of the Floral Knights (YGOrg Translation), as that one summon unlocks a Level 8 Synchro with no other card investments. Because when it is summoned, you can search Noble Knight’s Spearholder (YGOrg Translation), then use Horse’s 2nd effect to Fusion Summon Centaur Mina (YGOrg Translation). Mina can then Special Summon Spearholder back, triggering Spearholder’s effect to turn it into a tuner, resulting in 8 levels of tuner and non-tuner on your board. Where it gets interesting is when you have other options to extend your play, such as White Steed of the Floral Knights (YGOrg Translation) or a Fleuret de Fleur (YGOrg Translation). For if you have 2 extenders, your end board can be PSY-Framelord Omega and PSY-Framelord Lambda, guaranteeing a search for one of your handtrap PSY-Framegears in the End Phase.
Now this combo may seem like it depends on just hard drawing Horse, but it actually doesn’t with the help of the second new Noble Knight for Sherry – Noble Knight’s Shield-Bearer (YGOrg Translation). Shield-Bearer can be banished from the field or hand to add any Level 6 or lower WIND Beast to the hand, such as Horse or White Steed or, if you already have a Horse at your disposal, you could even add Hop Ear Squadron. Since Shield-Bearer is a Noble Knight monster, this means that you have so many options at your disposal to open your Horse, such as Reinforcement of the Army or even Heritage of the Chalice. This makes your initial Level 8 Synchro hyper consistent, while also leaving you room to run more of Sherry’s more situational options such as Necro Synchron (YGOrg Translation), Sage de Fleur (YGOrg Translation), and Sorciere de Fleur. But by all means, as you experiment with this theme, don’t be afraid to hone in on the Synchro engine and leave the rest for another deck.. the PSY-Frame addition may be just enough spice for you, without just restricting yourself to the typical Gamma/Driver engine commonly found in the meta. So race onwards with a Floral take on PSY-Frame!
