Creative Deck Profile: Byssted Branded, the Danger!s of Super Rejuvenation, ft. DABL Support

Chaos Dragons return with Byssted Fury!

Strategic Summary:

If you missed it, be sure to check out the new support cards here: [DABL] Byssted theme

Welcome to a special out-of cycle CDP, designed to showcase the recently revealed Byssted archetype that is the next Branded-Lore archetype. The Byssted theme is an archetype of Chaos Dragons, LIGHT and DARK Dragons that easily Special Summon themselves, offer quite potent GY disruption, and interact really well with an iconic Dragon Support card that made its presence known in the Dragon Ruler Era – Super Rejuvenation. The Byssted Lubellion (YGOrg Translation) is the theme’s primary tutor and boss monster, a LIGHT Dragon that can Special Summon itself from the hand or GY by tributing 1 Level 6 or higher DARK Dragon monster from your field. Additionally, it can be sent from the hand to the GY to tutor any other Byssted monster. Whenever it is face-up on the field, it can place a Branded Continuous Spell/Trap directly from your deck onto your board, and for this Branded-support Archetype, there are now two great options! The first is Rebranded (YGOrg Translation), a Continuous Spell that recycles a banished LIGHT or DARK monster back into the deck to draw a card, then as a soft once per turn, Special Summons a Byssted monster whenever your opponent Normal or Special Summons a monster. This allows you to do some great plays, especially when you factor in Byssted Magnumut (YGOrg Translation), which tutors any other Dragon monster during the End Phase after it is Special Summoned. The other Continuous option is Branded Beast (YGOrg Translation), which lets you tribute a Dragon to destroy any card your opponent controls. Additionally, it can recover a Branded Continuous/Spell Trap from your GY and place it back on your field.

Altogether, this deck works extremely well to disrupt the opponent, but where it truly shines is interacting with previously released support. The Danger! monsters serve as a great way to get more DARK monsters into the GY as well as more discards for your Super Rejuvenation, while Chaos Space searches your Black Dragon Collapserpent and White Dragon Wyverburster. But the key chaos support card here is Starleige Seyfert, which exchanges your Byssted monsters for the others or it can exchange a summoned Fallen of Albaz Fusion monster post-Branded Fusion, such as Lubellion the Searing Dragon, for The Byssted Lubellion or Albion the Shrouded Dragon. Speaking of Branded, the rest of those support cards work as well here as they do in other Fusion decks. Unleash these new Branded Byssted Dragons!

SideNote: Yes, I realize I misplayed on the first duel, forgetting about Chaetocaros’s ability to bring back a Tearalaments monster, please forgive me… but it was still a great duel to showcase this new archetype’s potential.
