Strategic Summary:

Today’s CDP features a return to the stars as I take another pass on showcasing the new B.E.S. cards you’ve probably already forgotten about. Great, now that you’re back, let’s talk about what’s different. First off, I streamlined the use of this archetype, diluting it down to its most essential combo, which in essence is to get to both B.E.S. Derringer Core and Super B.E.S. Metal Slave without too much fuss. Of course there is the in-theme option of Boss on Parade, but did you know you can also turn to Union Activation, since it can send A-Assault Core to the GY to tutor Derringer? If you want another option, you can also easily turn to sending C-Crush Wyvern, since that enables you to tutor the new Level 4 Konami-ship – Gray Layer (YGOrg Translation). Gray Layer is a new LIGHT Machine with 1200 ATK (hi 2nd effect of Boss on Parade) that can tribute itself and reveal any Machine to tutor one with a different Attribute. Most of the time, you will leverage this effect to grab Therion “King” Regulus, since an extra omni-negate is never a bad option, but you can also use this to access one of your main B.E.S. monsters for the core combo! Gray Layer also has a second effect from the GY, letting you destroy another card on the field when a monster in your possession is destroyed by card effect, giving you even more bang for your buck with Metal Slave!

With the B.E.S. side of the deck squared away, let’s talk about all the Quick-Play Spells that flesh out the rest of the build. There’s Forbidden Droplet, one of if not the best card in the game right now, Super Polymerization, The Branded & The Virtuous, then a suite of hand traps. All of these options give you more power, and in the case of Virtuous, another free monster to your board. You see, if you send Titaniklad the Ash Dragon instead of Albion the Branded Dragon when activating your first copy, you can use Titaniklad to summon Dogmatika Ecclesia, the Virtuous from your deck to tutor the second copy of your Quick-Play Spell. That enables it to Special Summon a monster from the GY, while also giving you a free body you don’t mind destroying to resolve Boss on Parade. Make it all come together and take down the enemy with your fleet of B.E.S. monsters!
