Kick off 2025 with a crazy hybrid!

Strategic Summary:
Welcome back to a fun profile that features the Argostars archetype for the first time on my channel! This theme’s unique mechanic is its set of three Continuous Trap Cards, Argostars – Slayer Eteo, Argostars – Lightning Tydeu, and Argostars – Swift Capane, each of which that can Special Summon themselves from the backrow, then place themselves back. Tydeu is the one that can do both at will, Special Summoning itself at the small cost of a discard, but it replaces that with a new Argostars card from your deck. Eteo must respond to an opponent’s activated effect, but if you have Argostars Glorious Adra banished, you get to spin one of their monsters. The potential of this theme is truly unlocked with its Field Spell, Argostars – Home Stadium, as it inflicts 500 dmg each time any Continuous Trap is Special Summoned to your board, plus it can negate the effects of a face-up card once per chain when a Continuous Trap in the Monster Zone activates its effect.
Given that the Field Spell is so important to the theme, let’s talk about the Field Spell support in here, specifically Multi-Universe. You see, Multi-Universe is a unique Field Spell that can destroy itself to place a different Field Spell back on the Field from your banishment or GY. This lets you re-use your Argostars effect to recover a banished Argostars card, but it is also great at abusing Chicken Game for additional draws. Or, you can use it to go into the other primary Field Spell of today’s build, Fairy Tale Prologue: Journey’s Dawn (YGOrg Translation). First, Dawn halves all battle damage to both players, second it lets you draw a card when you control a LIGHT Beast or Level 7/8 Dragon Synchro, and finally, it can be sent to the GY during your Standby Phase to place any other Field Spell from your Deck onto the board. Getting to Journey’s Dawn is easy as well, as Wonko, Noble Knight of the Forest (YGOrg Translation) grabs it and either Heritage of the Chalice or Bat, the Forest Ninja (YGOrg Translation) grabs Wonko! So much tutoring potential.
This brings us to the final archetype at play, the Ninja. As you’ve probably seen by now from my Ninja hybrids in the past, you really don’t need a large deck investment to grant a deck its benefits. Not only are you able to unlock direct attacks with Meizen the Battle Ninja, but you also gain removal in Ninjistsu Art Tool – Iron Digger and Yaguramaru the Armor Ninja, negation with Mitsu the Insect Ninja, and other free card advantage between Hidden Village of Ninjitsu Arts and Ninjitsu Art Notebook of Mystery. Altogether, this gives every archetype and subengine in the deck even more power, leading to a cohesive strategy built to surprise!

I replicated the build and tbh, it’s much better than I thought, I was initially skeptical that it would be too tricky, or that Multi-universe isn’t needed (seeing as Stadium can re-access another copy from gy anyway.) But mutli-unvierse does make re accessing the Stadium more consistent seeing as prior I would have to rely on having 2 stadiums And paying lp for each return.
I have been recently experimenting with argostars and seventh tachyon seeing as it could easily search adra. Some xyzs like Heroic champion Clavindash (forgot the spelling) can be also played to help OTK.
Bricky* (not tricky)
