Setting face-downs in 2024
TL note: If you want to learn more about the Ninja, you can check our VBEX3 article.
Meizen the Battle Ninja
Full art:
TL note: We have previously translated the notes for Meizen from a Twitter post. One new note points out how this image features Meizen not wearing a mask, and the other new note is the illustrator’s comment:
“As I progressed with the designed based on the concept of ‘near-futuristic plus refined ninja’, I added various historical components from military commanders as motifs for that process. My favorite monster among this theme is ‘Baku the Beast Ninja’. I put an extra amount of effort while drawing the eyes and eyebrows of the ninja dog.”
Tobari the Sky Ninja & Mitsu the Insect Ninja

“This is what it looks like when the wings are spread
They are somewhat large”
Mitsu front view notes:

TL note: For the following notes where Mitsu is speaking, she does indeed speak with a Kansai dialect.

“Mitsu’s right-arm weapon collection (they are all based on insects)”

Micchan’s secrets #2:
“He’s not a bad kid, but for some reason, I just don’t like being with him…!”
Mitsu: “Bee/wasp”
Tobari: “Bird”, “Oh”

Baku the Beast Ninja & Kagero the Cannon Ninja
Full art:
TL note: We have previously translated the notes for Baku from a Twitter post and Kagero’s from another one.
Jioh the Gravity Ninja & Yaguramaru the Armor Ninja
Full art:
Jioh front:
Top: “*Electric sounds*”
Bottom: “Has about 7 kunai on each side”

Meizen the Battle Ninja’s finishing move
Full art:
Attack name:
“Draft for ‘Ninjitsu Art of Six Dark Slashes'”
TL note: The “dark” kanji in the name of the attack (冥) is the same one for “Mei” in Meizen’s name. The last kanji is 斬, which is primarily used for fatal slashes. Normally this last kanji is read as “zan”, but “zen” can also be used, as a more obscure reading. In that case, the last part of the name of the attack would also be “Meizen”, with one different kanji.
Details:
Top: “Cherry blossom effects”
Bottom: “Runs through his opponents in the blink of an eye, punishing them with six-strike slashing attack!”

Goodness, these batch of Ninja are so cool!
It makes remember how much I really want the missing Ninja cards from the various series. One day…
hmmm so possibly more equips on the way? Ninjitsu Art of Six Dark Slashes goes hard!
We need a ninjitsu art spell that searches any ninja from deck.
You mean like Ninjisu Art Notebook of Mystery?
A ninjitsu ROTA, normal spell card that can search “Hanzo”
