Cute is justice
TL note: If you want to learn more about the lore of the Excuties, you can check our article for them from the Galactica Victories book.
TL note: We have previously translated the notes for Lumiere in our article for the Galactica Victories book. Below is the illustrator’s comment:
“The Excuties were drawn as heroes inspired by American comics. The first batch of monsters had their emblems created with the assumption that more monsters will be created in the future, and later, they were turned into a theme in one clean sweep. I’m thankful to those that helped me with them.”
Description:
“Strong! Fast! Cool!”
Haircut:
“Neo-asymmetric short [haircut]”
Emblem:
Left: “First design for the Excutie logo ->” Right: “Final design for the Excutie logo”
Top: “[The design] was completed all the way up to the coloring. By completing it first, it becomes easier to evolve it later!”
Doodle: “Give [me/us] the data, please! Hurry up!”
Gauntlet:
Right: “Everyone’s favorite: a gauntlet”
Left: “Super power!”
Equipment:
Left: “Jet engine”
Right: “Beam gun”
Engine:
“The engine is designed so that it looks like it doesn’t collide with her body”
Details:
Top left: “Likes simple fashion outfits. Has 4 piercings on her left ear and 3 on her right ear”
Right: “Terrible at cooking (burning)”
Flame: “Why?!”
Lumiere suggestion:
Lumiere: “Let’s build a bronze statue to celebrate our friendship!!”
Flame: “Huh…”
Illustrator’s comment:
“I feel that at the time I crammed in way too many things, thinking ‘I want to draw a strong, handsome big-sister [character] with undercut, short hair and dark skin’. For the illustration, I pictured her stretching her hand and yelling ‘Over here!’ in order to save someone outside the frame.”

Outfit notes:

Details for “Catch!”:
Top: “Unlike the Excuties, black & white + point color”
Bottom: “Because the Excutie [emblem] is three-dimensional, I made this one look more like a plait”
Tail:
“It feels like there would be some variations for the tail…but this one should be fine”
Illustrator’s comment:
“Since this is an organization that opposes the Excuties, I designed them by inverting various keywords. It seems Mad Rare Aquila would also be a friend (or boss?) of these girls. Unlike the Excuties who have an energetic look and their own noticeable quirks, I designed this theme to be easily identifiable by its black and white [colors] and being a discrete, single team. I wanted to draw lots of tails so I added them to the references, but due to the circumstances of the composition of the card illustration, they weren’t featured, so that’s the one thing I would like to draw some day.”

how can I make a request to have Ghostricks included in the art books?
leave it alone man. We as a species don’t deserve ghostricks… I also don’t want to see my boy Yeti be heartbroken anymore.
Oh, they have casual clouths:0
